Hello everyone.
I extracted and encoded one of my movies; however, there is a constant delay between the sound and the image. Is there a way to fix this?
For encoding, I use DivX Duplicator 3.
Thank you in advance.

Progressive audio and video desynchronization
1. Launch VirtualDub
2. In the File menu, click on open video file and choose the video file to load
3. In the video menu, select Direct stream copy, then click on Frame Rate. In the opened window, choose the option "Change so video and audio durations match."
4. In the audio menu, select Direct stream copy, then choose Source Audio
5. Click OK and save the file
Constant audio and video desynchronization
1. Launch VirtualDub
2. In the File menu, click on open video file and choose the video file to load
3. In the video menu, select Direct stream copy, then click on Frame Rate. In the opened window, ensure that "No change" is checked.
4. In the audio menu, select Direct stream copy, then choose Source Audio and finally click on Interleaving.
5. In the Delay audio track by box, enter a number of milliseconds corresponding to the offset (some trial and error will be necessary). If the audio is lagging behind the video, remember to enter a negative value.
6. Click OK and save the file by clicking on "Save as AVI" in the File menu.
This is what is stated for virtualdubmod, but I have a problem and not a small one, I don't have an "Audio" menu. -

Thank you, Jeff!
This solves the issue of the delayed sound, but not the one of the subtitles, which are still out of sync...
I'm encoding with Auto Gordian Knot 2.55. (I received a "new version" alert that I downloaded). But there’s still this delay, so the new version hasn't solved the problem...
When I opened my corrupted file in virtualdubmod, I got a warning saying I had encoded the sound in VBR and that it could cause a delay of 18666ms on the sound (if I understood the message correctly), so now I'm trying to re-rip it with CBR sound at 128 kbps. I'll let you know how it turns out!

Amicalement, Dragonsage.

Hello, I have an audio and video sync issue after cutting with Easy Video Splitter, can someone help me please? My videos are in AVI, do I need to change the format to cut them or can I leave them as they are? Thanks in advance.

Hello. I asked a specialist because I want to buy a capture card for audio and video editing, and he told me that the sound delay is caused by the fact that if the recording is done on the hard drive containing WINDOWS, there will necessarily be a delay. The solution is a second hard drive without WINDOWS. So, I will acquire a DAZZLE that connects to a USB port as well as a hard drive. I will let you know if it works.
Best regards -
Hello
for sound delay, I just throw away the film and look for another one that's correct because it's too much work for often negative results. To record on TV, I also have a video card
Dazzle 100, which is really great contrary to the criticism on the internet, perfect image and perfect sound for recordings made on satellite demo
a well-recorded movie on PC will give a good DVD copy and Windows and hard drives don't change anything
I’ve made 400 perfect movies and 150 cartoons and Windows and hard drives haven't messed anything up.
