Keyboard shortcuts in Fruity Loops Studio

Hello everyone!
I am using an audio sampler software (which allows me to compose music) called Fruity Loops Studio 10.
In this software, I use keyboard shortcuts to work faster. For example, I press the "space bar" to play my piece. I hold down ctrl + mouse wheel to zoom in on the music sheet. I press CTRL + A to select all my music notes.
Unfortunately, for a while now, these shortcuts have been glitching.
When I start the software and begin to use it, they work fine. But after about 15 minutes, the shortcuts stop working. I press the space bar, and nothing plays. I press ctrl + mouse wheel, no zoom. I press CTRL + A, nothing is selected. This forces me to do everything manually, which takes up a lot of my time.
During those times when the shortcuts stop working, sometimes when I switch windows (for example, I go to FB and then return to my Fruity Loops Studio window), they start working again... but always end up glitching again.
I would really like to know what causes this and how I can resolve this issue that makes me lose so much time when I'm composing...
