Good evening,
I have an issue with eMule, the finalization of files is no longer occurring.
Would anyone have a solution to my problem?
Thank you
When I right-click, everything is grayed out except for VIEW FILES and SHOW LINKS.

Yes, I had the same problem and I renamed the .part to .“original file extension” and it worked :)
But what’s stupid is that there’s always the problem that we have to do it every time :/ otherwise I can finally watch my movies :D!
See you later ;)

Bonjour, je vois que tu as une solution pour le problème de finalisation. Moi, j'ai émulé 0.47c et j'ai une dizaine de fichiers qui ne veulent pas se finaliser. Pourrais-tu me réexpliquer ? Je ne vois pas comment faire. Merci.
Hello
I wanted to contribute to the discussion on the problem... the proposed solution of renaming the vcl files in the temp file to avi works very well... but that is not enough for everyone
indeed, often there are other download files that block the finalization of others...
You just need to click on each file being transferred to get detailed information, and then the message about the corrupted files appears in red: "the avi format is not recognized." So by completely deleting the corresponding temp files XX using the number associated with each one... and restarting Emule everything goes back in order!!!
In short... only download well-rated files from numerous sources to avoid this kind of problem... and preferably films that have been out on DVD for a long time: the quality is better, we avoid Canadian dubbing, and moreover, we don't risk the possibility of films first recouping through the different media!!! Let's not try to download films that have just been released... Emule should remain a sharing software and not a piracy tool...

Hello,
temporary files do exist and are therefore somewhere. To find them, open e-mule; preferences menu (top right); then click on folder (in the left list general / display / connection / proxy / server / folder etc).
the directory of completed files and that of temporary files is displayed on the right; you just need to access it with the browser.
Note: to know which temporary files correspond to the downloaded file, you must in e-mule, still, go to transfer / reception folder, right-click on the file; then select "detailed information"; in the window, the first line is the name of the file and the second line is the name of the temporary file.
(generally 0xx.part.met with xx as a number)
last thing: the temporary file is split into three files with the same number: 0xx (extension .part not necessarily visible), 0xx.part.met, 0xx.part.met.bak
Good luck

Hello, I'm sorry to bother you, but when I go into the folder, I have temporary files, and then what do I do? Because once I click on temporary, a window appears in front. Should I click on temp? And when I do, I see files 001 part part met bank, is that normal? What should I do? Please help me to watch my movies, thank you. And when you always mention the transfer/reception folder, I don't think I have it. Please help me, Elodie.
Hi
I got this a long time ago and I took the temporary file (note: I can't remember the extension, but it has the size that the final file "should" have) and I wildly renamed it to .avi (it was a movie, in your case it might be different).
And against all odds, well it works!!
Give it a try and see.

I am having the same finalization issue since today; my files are only lining up behind each other in finalization, and they are taking a long time to finalize!
Basically, for a 170 MB video, it takes about an hour to finalize; there must be a problem!
I have tried your previously defined methods, and nothing works; the files remain as they are!
Does anyone have a solution for me?
Thank you.

Hi, I followed exactly what you told me, that is, in EMULE Temp (in my case) changing 002.part to 002.avi. This gives me the size of my video, but it disappears from my transfer page and is not in my incoming folder or anywhere else!
Moreover, when I launch the file I modified (002.avi) with VLC, it plays it as encrypted. :(

Hello,
I found the solution to the problem, there was a corrupted 3MB file that was blocking me from finalizing the files... I turned off eMule and deleted this file (.part, .part.met) I restarted eMule and it works correctly.

I'm not sure how to remove the file that's blocking the finalization! Where should I go? How do I proceed?
Hello, the same problem happened to me; the songs were recorded but were stuck on finalization. I followed the advice, deleted all my recorded files that were stuck (too bad), turned EMULE off and on again, re-enabled file recording, and everything WORKS WELL!!!! Thanks to everyone who willingly gives great advice... See you+++++
Hello,
could you tell me how to rename part to avi, because I can't make any changes.
Thanks in advance.
See you later.

Hello again,
No one has the answer to my problem?
I freed up disk space, but that didn't solve it, what else can I do?
STILL STUCK ON FINALIZATION AND HASHING for several days now, even after restarting the PC and looking for possible viruses.

Hi!!
I also have exactly the same problem as you.
I have space on my hard drive, no viruses, and my files are still stuck.
If you have a solution to unblock us...
I have 5 files that finished downloading and are still stuck, the finalization won't start!

I have the same problem since I changed my power supply. It's probably the fact that the hard drive was no longer powered, but what should I do?
Well, it's clearly explained in posts 4 and 5.
Moreover, searching a bit helps to remember the process well afterward, LOL.

Thank you, I did what you said and it works
To respond to the person before, nothing arrives in incoming, you need to read the video directly in temp.
