Hello,
How can I extend an audio track without adding silence? In fact, the same question is asked here can you modify the duration of an audio track,
but the solution is not very detailed. It mentions using Audacity, but I can't figure out how to do it.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
if it’s a small change (about 1 to 3%, no more), it’s indeed possible with Audacity.
Go to “Effect/Change Speed...”
there, you can move the slider to the left to lengthen the piece, or to the right to shorten it.
with the slider to the left, it will give you whole values (-1.000; -2.000; -3.000; etc...) but you can enter more precise values in the “Percentage Change:” box.
by experimenting (and undoing every time it doesn’t work), you should be able to get to the right duration.
if there’s too much difference in duration, the sound will be distorted.
