Weird issue with the Winamax app

Hello,

I would like your opinion on a problem with launching the Winamax poker software from my PC (Vista). So here it is:

I have been playing poker on Winamax for many years. But for the past few months, I only have access to online play (by going directly through their site), and I am unable to launch the application from my desktop, as I used to do before.

At first, when launching the software, a message appeared saying: "An error has occurred, please try again later." As the problem persisted, I uninstalled the app (using "Ccleaner" and co) and then reinstalled it, along with Adobe Air, which it requires. Since then, every time I launch the application, I get Adobe Air's license agreement (?) that pops up, and no matter what I do (accept, refuse), nothing happens afterward.

I have tried installing and reinstalling multiple times, from several sources, without success. The antivirus recently detected 2 "nasty files" that it put in quarantine, but that doesn't seem to explain the issue. I don't know what to do anymore...

Any ideas??

Configuration: Windows Vista / Internet Explorer 9.0

Hello goussedail,

I am Jimmy Le Tissier, community manager at Winamax.

The next thing to do is to properly clean your PC as it is possible that, due to the presence of viruses, you have important files that are damaged.

Then, do you run the Winamax application as "administrator"?

If the problem persists, I invite you to contact Winamax support at this address: support@winamax.fr

I wish you an excellent evening.
