Freebox HD recording to USB key

Question

Hello, I would like to know the procedure for transferring recordings from my Freebox HD to a USB key. Thank you    Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 9.0.1

You need to go through your PC
open My Computer
in the address bar type \\freebox (you can copy/paste)
click on the hard drive then on recordings and you'll find everything you've recorded on your Freebox
you can then copy it to a USB stick or another storage device (for the USB stick, feel free to get one of 8 to 10 GB as some recordings take up space)
To find it more easily, I recommend creating a shortcut on your desktop
It worked for me

- if you have a V5 it's possible, your key is recognized as external storage (formatted Fat 32)
- if you have the V6 revolution (= belt) that's problematic because Free decided to remove this option (like on the V5) the USB key connected to the TV box is recognized as read-only so you cannot record
there's still a MacGyver-like possibility to record on the internal hard drive and then with a computer and Wi-Fi at home, using Mozilla software to transfer files from your internal hard drive to the computer provided that these files are permitted (not locked (TF1 M6 W9 Gulli Canal and VOD are locked and therefore uncopyable)

PS if you have a terrestrial antenna, buy yourself an external TNT demo not too expensive, most of them have the recording function on USB and even external hard drives, there are no locks there (Akira B36HR and Akira dual tuner B31HDR) it's up to you to see according to your budget but it works!

hello

the Freebox has a TNT tuner

so simply scan for TNT to get the TNT channels just like with a decoder, it's in addition to ADSL

you can thus record channels like TF1, M6, etc. from the TNT of the Freebox

no purchase of any device to buy and install :-)

The fewer devices there are, the better

I still prefer the V5 of the Freebox even though the V6 has many advancements

For example: big issues with the Blu-ray, DVD, CD player that doesn't work for me!!!

The V5 allows you to copy your family VHS tapes while that function is no longer available in the V6

The menu of the V6 is crap, the remote control is annoying

totally agree except that I made the stupid mistake of taking the plunge and I'm stuck with a poorly finished V6 that has lost many advantages of the V5!
except that (again) my children particularly appreciate the "telephony" to mobile phones included in the package, the DECT also connected "wirelessly" in the house is practical too, but is it related to the "phone line" jack not working anymore
it remains true and needs to be said that the V6 is junk (DIY Blu-ray player, "annoying" remote control as you said: have you tried using the pointer necessary for internet pages? also try setting the start/end time of a recording! finally I have doubts about the recording scheduler that is playing tricks on me regarding duration??? finally the automatic switch from HD quality to SD doesn't work and crashes the box if the ATM rate drops (which is my case in the evening ??)
a lot of work for Free who doesn't seem in a hurry to take care of us, looking more towards mobile phones that are seriously annoying Orange who has rented its relays (completely saturated everywhere), resulting in classic subscribers having an increasingly unreachable hotline

it's true

the strong point of the V6 is the NAS server function
calls to mobiles but we also pay 6 euros for that!

and the free calls to the hotline

I haven't been using the internet navigation from the box because my TV has been doing it for 3 years already :-)
