Hello,

I have a problem with my printer:

when I bought it, I was able to set it up to work wirelessly.

Then, the wireless option stopped working but everything worked fine with the USB cable. I then uninstalled everything to be able to get the wireless back, but after 2-3 attempts at reinstallation, nothing works.

HELP

I have a Sony VAIO running Windows 7,

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 9.0

    Hello
Your printer is a LASERJET PRO P1102W - HP
or an HP Laserjet 1102w as you write it?
Your printer is wireless, so WIFI.

      Hello,

I’m not exactly sure if it’s the pro version, but it says on the printer: "HP Laserjet P1102w." In fact, if I understand correctly, there aren’t two versions. What I call the pro and the normal in this case would actually be the same according to HP http://h71016.www7.hp.com/html/ipg_050310_1/index.asp?oi=E9CED&BEID=60621&SBLID=

I also know that it is WIFI. That’s exactly the biggest problem I’ve had with this printer: the WIFI worked for 2 days.

Yes! If it says: "HP Laserjet P1102w" it's the pro.

Is the reinstallation not working with your HP software?

You might have lost the Wi-Fi driver.

Go to Device Manager and see if you have a yellow dot
on the image acquisition device (the printer).
Also check in the Windows Mobility Center if the wireless is enabled or not (red cross).

      More simply

a little tour in "start" "devices and printers" then "properties" and "port"
we enable bi-directional support, printer pooling and check both ports (IP... + USB) (needless to say, I searched a bit before finding this!)
this gives us functioning USB + Wi-Fi
be careful: no printing (even USB!) if the router has its Wi-Fi turned off

      for a complete mixed configuration

The yellow light indicates that the printer has a problem or that the driver is missing.
Is your printer configured on a network with other PCs?
If you have the section for your printer, look inside for the features related to Wifi.
