Hello,

I wanted to sign up for the website:

I studied the conditions: free, debit card without withdrawal for up to 5 days.
I provided my card details but did not select any options: I got scared of a potential fraud possibility.
However, they have my email and my debit card:
I received an email:

"Dear Fran,

Thank you for joining Cineble! We noticed that you did not select a membership option and wanted to make sure you have a chance to take full advantage of our unlimited movie streaming service."

Will I be charged: I did not select any option and backed out.

    You should never disclose your credit card number if you're not sure; research the site in question on forums beforehand.

    If you've given your credit card number and clicked validate/confirm/next on the site.

    Then you're in trouble.
    Either it's a fraudulent thing and they will use your card, or it's a legitimate site and they will charge you for a streaming subscription, which I suppose isn't very expensive.

      After a little research, the site charges 35 euros every 5 days to people who have given their credit card number.

      Many people have been scammed like this, so you need to cancel your account AND your subscription within 5 days, otherwise they will charge you an additional 35 euros for the cancellation.

      Keep an eye on your bank statements to make sure they haven't already taken the money.
      Paying 35 euros for 5 days of unlimited movies, I don't know if you have a life or if your name is Croesus, but you've been ripped off in both cases :p
      If you want movies for cheap, Newsgroups are made for you :).

      Keep me updated on what happens next.

      I was also registered on this site, and I just unsubscribed by going to support and typing "unsubscrib" in the search bar, then I filled out the questionnaire and received a confirmation email.

    When you don't know, you do nothing or you type the name of the site in Google and you immediately see if the site is a scam or not...

    When I see the number of gullible people on the net, it makes me want to get into it ;) !

    they register on sites presenting free offers, but you have to provide your bank details to sign up and a few days later, boom!!! a few euros fewer in your bank account
    when it's free, it's free, you shouldn't give your credit card details.
    hurry up and go see your bank and block the withdrawals from the company in question.

      Listen, it may say secure banking information by the FBI, but that doesn’t mean it’s true.
      You can put anything on a website.
      According to your message, you provided your card number, hit enter or 'continue', and then left the page.
      However, the moment you hit enter or 'next' or 'continue' or whatever, your banking information was sent to the site.
      So now you need to go back to the site, find your account, and cancel that subscription
      Or go to your bank and report it.

      I'm not sure they must have my bank card number.
      Is it possible to block a future charge? Would I have to change my card number or anything like that?

      Yes, they have it and trust me, they're not going to let it go.
      You have two options:
      --> If you can find the account with which you subscribed on the site, then log in and try to find out how to cancel the subscription in the settings, account options or something like that.
      --> If you couldn’t find it, then you can go to your bank's branch and request that all future withdrawals from this site/company be blocked.
      This way you won’t have any problems anymore, but be aware that this service is charged, no more than 20 euros.

      You will need to present yourself at the branch with the address of the issuer (not the website address but the name of the organization or company that manages all this; you'll need to do some research online to find that), along with your account number, the amount of the withdrawal, and your ID card.

      That said, I have not subscribed to any offer: I know that this site is a scam but I have not decided on any offer: are you sure that from this moment they will not charge me?
      Otherwise, I believe I have found out how to cancel the subscription: however, I am afraid that by logging into the site, I might confirm a certain offer that I have in no way subscribed to...

      I messed up, I admit it, at the last minute I wanted to backtrack... I've never given my bank card without a valid reason. To err is human, that's it...
      Further down in the email:

    For those who are afraid of the direct debit, it’s better to cut to the chase, contact your bank and block the various direct debits that might come from this site.
    There will be bank fees, but it’s better than paying €35!

    I preferred to immediately oppose it,
    because you can cancel your account on their site but you have to pay 1 dollar to do so,

    I preferred to pay the bank fees rather than give one more dollar to those crooks.
