How to open an .ICO file?

Can someone help me????

I'm having trouble opening an .ICO file with Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word. I would like to know which program can open these files...

    It must be an IKEA file, check their website, I think there's a software available for download that allows you to view these files.

      It may be a little late for this response, but seeing my brother looking for how to open and edit an ico file, I started reading the answers on this forum.

      This response can certainly help others.

      - 1 Open and edit (if you have any changes to make) with bmp "paint"
      - 2 Save by putting ".ico (myfile.ico)", of course replace "myfile" with the name of your file.

      And there you go.

    If neither Word nor Excel can open it, it's very likely not a file in PNG format.
