What is the price of repairing a webcam?

Hello,

in fact I’m soon going to have a laptop from my brother (a Compaq Presario) and I don’t remember which model of Compaq Presario it is.

Anyway, the webcam isn’t working anymore and I’d like to know the approximate price of repairing a webcam.

    Hello,

    since it’s a laptop, you have to go through the brand’s after-sales service, the webcam being integrated requires specific hardware.
    Try contacting them to see if it’s at least feasible.

      Hello, sorry for the delay in replying but I’m not great with computers. What is a brand’s customer service (SAV)? And who to contact (well, how to contact, rather).

      By SAV I mean the after-sales service of Compaq (i.e., HP's after-sales service, HP having bought Compaq a few years ago)

      But if the PC is no longer under warranty, which is certainly the case, you would do just as well to buy an external webcam; it will cost you much less than a potential repair of the built-in one.

      Ok because I have an external webcam but I don’t really like it, it doesn’t feel “Nice”, but oh well, we can’t have everything we want lol Thanks
