Install the driver
Plug in the controller
Go to Computer (or My Computer)
In the top bar, click on System Properties
Go to Device Manager
At the top of the list, you will find your unknown device with a yellow triangle on it
Right-click on it and then select Update Driver
Then click at the bottom on Browse my computer for driver software
Again at the bottom, select Pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
Select Microsoft Common Controller
Then from the list, select Xbox 360 Wireless Controller
After that, I can't guarantee that BF3 will recognize it; it worked for my Logitech joystick, but for console controllers, I don't know, it's up to you:
Plug the controller into your PC
Turn it on
Launch BF3
Start an online game
Go to the pause menu
Click on Options
Click on Controls
Click on Key Bindings
And there will be all the info you want for the controls, then once you know the controls:
Return to the game and try using your controller
If it doesn't work, it means BF3 doesn't support Xbox controllers
(it definitely doesn't support PS3 controllers)
But on PC, I recommend, if it doesn't work, to buy a joystick, because otherwise, you can't enjoy the pleasure of flying a plane, because honestly, it's awful with the mouse
