My Facebook wall is inaccessible!

Hello everyone,

I have a Facebook account that I created not long ago. I set up the new "timeline" profile.
After a computer bug, when I click on the icon at the top right, with my name, to access my profile, I end up on my info.
I can no longer access my wall, my photos, etc...
I go directly to my personal information (date of birth, age, city....)

How can I access my profile normally again?
Thank you in advance. :D

Hello,
Have you tried clearing your cache/cookies? And from another browser?
Best regards.

I'm a magician, I can guess your browser's model to help you :D (it's a joke)

Excuse me! :p I'm not very good with anything "technical". How do I find out what my browser is? (don't mock me!) :D

It's okay, you're probably good at something or I'm just not. That's normal.
Describe to me the icon you use to launch your browser, or even the name of that icon.

Instead of giving your contact details, you could take a screenshot...
there is a charter on the forum.

Sorry. How do I take a screenshot? I would like you to see the problem!

Alright, you go to your Facebook page where you have your issue, you press the "Print Screen" key on your keyboard (the key to the right of F12), which means Print Screen. You open Paint (let's assume you're using Windows), you do CTRL+V (the screenshot was in the clipboard, you paste it into Paint, it's simple) you save the image. Then you host it on a free site and copy the link.

I'll do that and send you the link as soon as I succeed! :p

I see exactly the same thing when I click on "Refresh my info"
but my URL is different.
What happens if you click on your name at the top right next to your photo again?

Well, when I click on my name next to my photo to display my profile, it shows me the page I showed you. It's really strange, I can't access my timeline anymore!

try to check with Facebook help if you can report a bug on your FB page.
And try to connect with Internet Explorer just in case, to see if the problem persists.
Are you sure there’s no confirmation button at the top of your page? like to definitively accept Journal

I have the same issue, bug reported to Facebook. I think everything will return to normal once the seven days have passed... In any case, I'm doing this while waiting for a Facebook detox, it doesn't hurt!!

Yes, it's the best idea :D

I don't have a confirmation button for the journal. I'm going to wait the 7 days too, I'll let you know :)

I have exactly the same problem and it's neither the browser nor the computer, I tried
Otherwise, I didn't understand HDC's manipulation mentioned above =/

No, it seems to come from Facebook, but from the 24th it will become mandatory, it could get back on track at that moment.

I hope so because I find it very frustrating =/
but I didn't understand, HDC found a solution earlier, didn't they?

I didn't understand either, I didn't try. You can try.

I wanted to try, but I didn't really understand what to do. So HDC, if you're reading this, please tell us what it does and how to do it :)

it's pretty simple according to what he says: www.facebook.com/yourprofilename?sk=wall
put your profile name after the slash.

I finally found it:
1) Click on the arrow in the top right, "Account Settings"
2) Go to "Username" and type in your choice, confirm
3) Type the address: www.facebook.com/yourusername/Timeline
And it works ;)

For those who, like me, didn't have a username and therefore couldn't solve the problem

Well, at least you don't have Chrome, so all is not lost :p.
Version 9 of Firefox is being released today. If you don't have it already, I invite you to install it.
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/9.0/
I'm not forcing you, but an outdated browser is a virus magnet.
To delete cookies/cache, press CTRL+SHIFT+DELETE and go to details, uncheck everything except Cookies and Cache, and click delete.
Then restart your browser and try Facebook again.

I did what you said, I deleted the caches and cookies. I restarted and Facebook is still the same. When I try to access my profile, I end up on my information in the form of a journal, and I can't see my wall or my photos... However, on my other Facebook account, everything works normally. But I would like to be able to access my profile on my second account too!

ah ok I underestimated the problem. You subscribed to "Journal" or timeline in the original version. And so your profile changed (I have the same). You must have validated it so it’s not invisible for 7 days, we can see it directly.
It’s the new Facebook profile, that’s how it is. I don’t know the way to go back to the previous version, and I don’t think there is one. I’ll check tonight and let you know.
EDIT: this type of profile will be mandatory from December 24. MERRY CHRISTMAS LOOOL

No, we can't go back to the old version. I switched to the "journal" format but I haven't confirmed it, I don't know how to do it because no message has prompted me. Yet everything works normally on my other Facebook! :/ I looked in the Facebook settings, but nothing. I can give you my Facebook address and my password, take a look and help me out! (I'll send you all that privately)

uh no no don't ever do that, you don't know me

I have nothing to lose, it's a new account, and there's nothing private. Please take a look. That way you can see the problem ;)
