Hello everyone. I use GATE RADIO PRO for radio broadcasting. I do networking programming on the GATE. But since I changed the CPU of one of my machines, I can no longer access the GATE network. When I open it, an error message says that the VBFR.DLL file could not be found. I have reset the machines but still nothing. So I would like some help.
Thank you.
Thank you.

I am a technician at a FM radio station that runs on Gate. Gate is a very bad software that crashes very, very often for no reason. The guy who created it doesn't understand anything, never answers the phone, and is incompetent when faced with the shortcomings of his software. Stay away.
I am using Gate Radio Pro 5. Here are the problems I can't resolve:
- Scheduling advertisements or events between midnight and 6 AM. I have done the slicing correctly, but I always get the
same result. Events scheduled for midnight do not trigger. The computer also crashes.
- Since I still don't have time to create the playlists myself, I often let Gate manage the playlist on its own. When it recalculates to insert other titles into its programming, if the current track is at the end (the page turns black), there is a gap until the new titles are inserted.

Hi René,
1 - Normally it is accepted that at 00:00:00 across all programs, we import everything that will make up the grid for the day, which means that the machine is too busy with the import task to do anything else. If tasks are not scheduled sequentially in the program and two tasks arrive at the same request at the same time, it is understandable that this causes a conflict.
I hope this is the explanation, which in this case will allow you to schedule your event at 00:01:00 to avoid the crash.
2 - Regarding the recalculation of the upcoming time and the blank, I noticed the same error in all cases and in all versions I was able to examine without thinking too hard since it’s not the one I use, so I don't have a miracle solution to offer. But I have a piece of advice: Contact Radio Visage in Chateau Thierry, they might have a solution; they also have a Gate Radio.

In my opinion, it’s the viruses that have attacked your machine trying to take back your installation. When the page goes blank, it would mean that the viruses have attacked the DDL system, then the music; consequently, the virus tracks are not playing or these ones either. EDOUKOU SAPIM 'radio host'
I will briefly explain to you how the gate works and solve your problem. For programming ads, it's quite simple: you need to insert the ads to be broadcast into the gate like a music track first, then schedule it in the editing window - advertising - section, then set the start and end dates, hide the boxes if you want your ad to run at 15 or 45 minutes into the hour, and confirm with save. For night programming, go to edit - playlist and check the date and time you wish for your playlist to be aired, then enter the songs and confirm by save (save), then restart your computer. If you are in broadcast mode, insert a CD into a player to fill the gap. Lastly, if your screen goes black, it means that you do not have enough songs on your machine to make an automatic request, hence the black screen; it struggles to find a path that you would have given it in skeleton mode. To resolve this issue, you need to enter a lot more music and switch to skeleton mode with 15-minute requests, but I advise you to always create a playlist for your nights. One last piece of advice: avoid connecting to the internet on the computer you are using the gate application on, as it may crash your computer at times due to certain updates as well as hackers and viruses.
Hello,
Gate is not a network software but a remote occurrence software.
You need to install a version of Gate on your remote machine and then delete the created directory.
After that, you need to recreate a shortcut pointing to the executables on the broadcast machine; since the libraries have been installed on your remote machine, you shouldn't have any issues.
But one piece of advice, as soon as you can, switch software; this is not a tool for making good radio.
However, to start as a small amateur, it's sufficient, but you will quickly realize the limitations of the software.

Hello, since I switched to the A2PRL banking program, I've been having major issues with Gate Radio Pro.
When I'm in local programming and I start a show (regardless of the duration), after a few minutes, Gate skips the currently playing file for a jingle or even better, a song.
The software creator assures me that this isn't a Gate issue.
Have you encountered this type of problem?
I've already found some stations that are experiencing this issue on my side, what about you?
Have you found a solution? If so, what are they?
On my end, I'm out of options. He suggests I invest in a server and other equipment for a cost of over 3000 euros... But will it work better afterwards??
I'm currently looking into Winradio and Open Radio.
Thank you for contacting me if you have had or are having these issues.

Hello, I've been using Gate Radio for a while and I just realized there's a new version. Can you tell me how to get it or obtain a registration key? We can also exchange logs if you're interested. Please reply. Best regards.
Hello,
To obtain the activation key, which is actually a hardware dongle, you can contact the software creator: website address for pricing: http://www.gatesoleil.com
I would like to remind you that software must be purchased and paid for from its author or an authorized reseller, and it is strictly prohibited by international law to engage in exchanges or attempts to crack it, which is the definition of software piracy, under penalty of prosecution.
Furthermore, the new version; 6.0, offers nothing better than version 5.0 except for the full-screen mode with all resolutions and this infamous dongle.
I repeat, Gate is a good entry-level software, and one shouldn't expect more. It is significantly inferior to Open Radio, Dalet, Antenna, or RCS, but it is not the same price.

That you disagree with my opinion is completely your right and falls under the freedom of expression.
But not supporting your arguments and simply referring to the manufacturer's website is nothing more than disguised advertising.
Gate is an entry-level software just like:
- Raduga, ZaraRadio, etc. (slightly less performant).
- Jazler, DRS 2006, Hector, Easyradio, RDS FM Plus, etc. (very equivalent).
It suffers from many growing pains and remains a good software for music continuity; the live part is completely left to chance, but it is not designed as a network software.
Bring your arguments and support them with demonstrations, and we can really debate.
Use the other software mentioned earlier: Dalet (too complex to set up in my opinion - with proprietary sound cards), RCS Selector and Master Control (very comprehensive but not accessible to everyone - with proprietary sound cards), Open Radio (like RCS but less complicated - with proprietary sound cards), Antenna 2000 (big part for live performance, lighter on automatic programming - no proprietary sound cards).
Use these software and compare them in their applications and stability, and you will see that I am completely right in my assertion.

Hello, I recommend reinstalling if possible if you still have your Gate all the network and the system, otherwise contact me via my email, I will help you as much as I can; arseneniama@yahoo.fr
Hello, if I understand correctly, Gate Radio is not very good for automatic radio broadcasting. Do you have another music management software that is easier to use and reliable? Currently, we are using Raduga on our station, it's not the best, but at least you don't have to edit everything... Best regards, see you soon.
Reliable work does not exist without prior effort, sorry for you. - Success always requires a minimum amount of work before dissemination. - And the invoices from professionals will seem quite funny compared to what you have. - It's not to discourage you, but you need to have an idea before looking for what might fit your dreams. - I've worked on Mediadem (no longer exists), on Gate (meh), on Antenna and now on Open, one is stronger for automation, the other for live, but there are many others I don't know.
Hello, we use JAZLER RADIO here, which runs very well when it is well prepared in advance.
The only downside is for creating virtuals, which are totally CRAP. For live shows, it works great, as well as for automatic broadcasting. Moreover, JAZLER costs €780 for the full R22 version but may be cheaper if you can prove you're part of an association or company. "a third of the price" There's the new JAZLER RADIO STAR 1, but it has a lot of bugs, a typical youth issue, and costs a little more. We've been using JAZLER for nearly 5 years, and honestly, when well prepared, it completely meets our needs "except for virtuals."

Hello
I'm running a small community radio station, and I'm currently using Gate Pro 5 which works very well because I'm very familiar with it, but I would like to explore other options, so I'm considering "Hardata Radio and WinRadio."
If anyone could advise me on which one to choose.
Mr. Abdou

Hello, we are an associative web radio www.flux4.eu and we use Hardata Radio 8 Xp. The problem is that there is no longer a French-speaking distributor in Europe - Silas Media has stopped distribution. The software is very stable, the interface is simple, it never crashes!! The big problem is the management of the software serial number because it needs to be changed every year!! There is a physical key, but the worst part is the number change; when you are absent and need a new number, you have to request it from Hardata support, and this has happened three times already. The serial number arrives too late, and we can’t broadcast for several hours!!!
It’s too frustrating. I asked Silas Media for a single number with a key, but since then, there has been radio silence ;-) It's a shame because Hardata Radio 8 was pretty good… The support is lacking, and that’s a big issue for automation software…

Ecrire : "... a small community radio ..." and talking about some of the most expensive software on the market isn't that somewhat contradictory? ...
Although currently working on Open, I know a bit about these two software programs and I will tell you why I discourage them just like Open for "... a small community radio ...":
a - non-open sound file format like Open that only accepts the "specific" format unique to each, which indicates a product obsolescence while everyone opens to all compressed or uncompressed formats, including OGG,
b - the use of specific sound cards that are extremely expensive and totally obsolete since the arrival of fast processors like Pentium,
c - lack of modularity of functions and tasks, but rather centralization of everything into a single module, for serial crashes, it's the best, and you've experienced it like I did with Gate, and that's enough,
d - no intuitiveness in use but a long and tedious process to find the sequence of actions to execute; think of your hosts who will suffer as will the quality of your broadcast,
e - obligation to train technicians and hosts on-site,
f - these two software programs are dedicated almost exclusively to automation and voice-tracking rather than doing live-assist,
In a word, these two software programs are made by computer scientists for computer scientists or at least for those familiar with computing, hence the expensive on-site training, resulting in a very significant additional cost.
On the financial side, aside from that, do a simple calculation: a specific card for one of these software programs will cost you more than the complete multi-user license of Gate Radio 6 Pro, and you will need at least two.
Not to mention that you will need to completely overhaul your music library and wait for everyone to acquire the habits to put your equipment on air, otherwise beware of silence and crashes, not to mention potential software bugs.
"... a small community radio ..." should think carefully before messing up its audience, sinking its audience, its advertising revenue, and its communication capital, or else it has unsuspected reserves and it is not really "... a small community radio ..."
Mr. Abdou, if you are African, as your name suggests, or elsewhere in the world, I advise you not to switch software but rather to upgrade yours; your people are used to it and despite all its recognized shortcomings, they know it and how to address them, so unless you decide to question the existence of your radio, follow my advice.
And if this doesn't suit you, do as you see fit; I have given you my opinion for what it's worth.

Thank you very much for your frank response, and it's true that mastering software takes a long journey. I remember the time it took me to learn Gate, especially for editing the database...
If I refer to a "small radio," it's true that it is small compared to other "commercial" radios that cover our island 100%, but we have a power of 500 W that covers about 70%.
I am writing to you from Mayotte, which is in the Indian Ocean next to MADAGASCAR. I am Mahoran but not African, and Mayotte is French.

Hi everyone, and thanks for your responses and advice regarding the use of Gate Radio... Software that is obviously very difficult to use if you don't master it... Just for those who want a little idea, personally I know quite well Mr. ABDOU MIRADJI with "La Voix du Nord," and if you need advice on its use, you can ask him. However, there are other software options that are good for radio broadcasting that have nothing to do with Gate Radio but are also effective... like "SAM Broadcaster," which I use and which is satisfactory for small radios or amateurs... Miradji, can you give me your email address? M. MALIDI... Dola. Or write to me at dolaterre@hotmail.fr... Good luck to everyone.
Just a quick tip, does Jazler work well with Windows Vista???
Just a quick tip, does Jazler work well with Windows Vista???
Response to Dola: Nothing works properly and efficiently with Windows Vista unless it's specifically designed for that environment.
As for Sam Broadcaster, I tried it out of curiosity and I was really not convinced by the stability of the tool; after the 10th crash, enough was enough, I brutally uninstalled everything, and the user manual is not the clearest; the crashes may be due to user error, but when programming, one should try to protect against human "bugs" if possible. It's true that the interface is quite pleasing, but really confusing with its overlapping windows—after a while, it becomes unpleasant to search for the right window if it's beneath others; the same goes for Open or Win or Dalet.
I apologize to Mr. Abdou and mean no offense, but African is not a nationality; it is merely a connection to a continent, and although your island is geographically French, it is linked to it geographically but not entirely ethnically, as you are at a major crossroads of naval routes.
As for your radio, it is not a matter of power, because, as one of my friends says, 10,000 watts in the bottom of a bowl will never carry as far as 100 watts on the top of the bowl.
Moreover, mastering the French language with ease, would you seek software in English with all the misunderstandings that could entail, especially for your presenters? ...
I already see what happens here when we have an issue with Open and the resulting misunderstandings in explaining and getting, at the very least, to be heard, and when they admit there is a "bug" from the programmer, then with another coming from another continent in another language, I can't even begin to imagine. By the way, if you spoke to JP Colombier on the phone to make him understand, it's the same story; it’s always the manipulator's fault!... ;-((
Out of simple curiosity, what made you interested in these two software programs and not others like Dalet, Open, Antenna, or RCS?

Hello Abdou,
Stung by the demon of curiosity, I went to search for the Hardata website on Google; I was in for a bad surprise as I initially found only an "English" site.
Curious, I looked for a French version, and there I found satisfaction; I even found the DL page and downloaded the demo version, which, at 100 MB, still took 27 minutes to arrive after three blocks and restarts.
I installed it, and the installation was in English or Spanish, which wasn’t great for an installation.
After launching it, the software seems to be in French at least for the visible interface, but when you call up the menus and submenus, it's a mix of English and Spanish with a dash of French; I’m not satisfied with that, but the functions, although intertwined in the same software, are present.
So, to continue what I said earlier, for me, it’s certainly not a super stable software since it doesn't separate the functions; some might disagree with me, but too bad.
The interface, although appearing compact, is just a jumble of windows in 1024 x ??? while everyone tries to work on more comfortable resolutions.
The windows overlap too easily with each other and cover up like in Win or Open, and that’s what I reproach them for; after a while, you can't find anything, and having two stations on the same page isn't great in my opinion.
Now we launch the machinery, and whether it’s me messing up or it's the software, the transitions aren’t really up to par with the competitors; they seem cut off, and the pitch meters are the same as on Gate Radio, so be cautious.
Disk announcements are possible in overlay with the musical modulation being overwritten, but I haven't found how to do it with the announcements.
I didn’t find the ability to schedule for the day, and the programming criteria are really too weak to create a sufficiently homogeneous playlist.
The ads play fine, but I’m still looking for how to introduce them into the schedule, bad point.
I finally found the transitions between tracks, and unfortunately, the indicated outro doesn’t work; it seems there's no title-by-title transition, only a standard transition is provided, bad point.
The broadcast logs available for consultation don’t seem to be printable, bad point.
And here’s the kicker, there’s a user manual entirely in English, so for me, that’s the last straw; I don’t wish to go any further.
As for the price, the license must be considered machine by machine, so if you have 5 machines, you need 5 licenses, totaling over €3000.
For me, when my kids drag me to McDonald's or Quick, I know I'm going for "junk food," but the price will be somewhat consistent, although! ... but when I go to a gourmet restaurant, it’s a bit more expensive, but there’s no comparison possible in terms of quality, and even less about service and taste.
For this software, it’s the same thing, and out of curiosity, I asked a computer-savvy friend who opened the database and was scared; the system dates back to Methuselah, he told me it was under Dbase and has been obsolete for at least ten years; I’m just repeating what he said in this chapter, I trust him.
I’ll conclude by saying that this demo didn't convince me at all, and cheap is too expensive for this software.
Gate Radio seems much uglier to me, but more functional; this one is to be compared to Sam Broadcaster, which is just good for a WebRadio.
You asked me for my opinion, here it is; take it for what it is, just a simple opinion; for my part, I'm telling you I will never work with this type of software: not intuitive enough and above all not in French.
As for Win, sorry, but for me it's too expensive for its capabilities, which are close to Hardata like scheduling and even heavier to handle.
Sorry, but that's my opinion.

There is nothing easier, order it from Mr. COLOMBIER in Limoges.
I'm sure he will be happy to send it to you with his dongle.
Or you can go through his site: http://www.gatesoleil.com

Hello Grégory,
it's still me, just in a few words, what software would you recommend besides Gate Radio for my small station? And please don't tell me Raduga ....
And I'm serious now, very serious.

Hello Abdou,
You will notice that until now I have not given you any advice, but only my very personal opinion; what I think about this or that regarding its use in my context, which has nothing to do with someone else's.
As for the rest, it is a profession, and I cannot put myself in your shoes as I do not know your needs or your specifications, let alone the local imperatives, not to mention the wishes of your hosts.
I would not insult you by recommending Raduga or DRS2006, or any software of that kind; I have been talking about antenna management since the beginning of this exchange.
You will easily understand that it is very difficult for me to engage you on a path that will involve you without personally committing myself.
It would be dishonest of me to tell you that you should choose this or that solution without taking a large share of responsibility for the success or failure of the choice. It is a dilemma; I am neither the creator nor the seller of what I might advise you.
Honestly, I could only give you general guidelines regarding the software that might be suitable, but only according to my perspective and my working philosophy, which is not necessarily yours:
1 - Separation between the various functions of the software so that those who will program the various events do not interfere with each other while grouping at the broadcast and managing the hours fairly correctly; we do not always achieve it perfectly, after all, it is just a computer.
2 - Network work on a correct database such as Access, Fox Pro (suggested by a computer buddy of mine), grouping all the information and programming and especially easy to maintain (I did not know that a database needed maintenance).
3 - Solutions capable of reading the various sound files currently used, compressed or not, without needing to work on a proprietary card like AudioScience or Digigram.
4 - Separation between the automation software and live-assist to avoid crashes, and especially for the automation to have a system for detecting silence to restart in case of corrupted files.
5 - There should be more than just Windows search functions in the live-assist with much more complete search options on the title, the artist, the duration, the genre, and whatever else. That the host has the choice between the imposed playlist or their personal playlist or even the possibility of merging the two, and that from this software, clever little ones cannot access the ads to schedule them off-screen to get invited by the local restaurant. That we can memorize our personal playlists, jingles, and music and recall them whenever we want.
6 - That even on the network, the broadcasting station can immediately access all the files entered on other machines; this is very important for journalists who always work in a rush.
7 - And most importantly for me, that the software is scalable at the users' request, that the service is easily reachable, with a free hotline unlike all the others, because the bills can be steep; I have had the unpleasant experience of that.
8 - That there is a training service that travels on-site to train everyone at the same time.
9 - And why not have the software ready for broadcast with music already in the database; we can always dream.
10 - And the cherry on top is that the seller honestly tells you if their software is well suited for your radio, but there I might be asking for a bit too much, but we can always try.
At first glance, this is what I would require from broadcasting software for my part, but it may not be what you need as a priority.
For your information, I found a site: “ici l’onde” that lists many resources for radios; you can find it at the following address:
http://christianvieira21.free.fr/pluxml/automation-radio-ou-radio-automation.php
It talks about software and automation but also about FM drivers and many other things; it does not take sides with one or the other but provides a list of equipment distributed in France.
In my opinion, it has mixed up both the good and the bad (Megatone, Hector, etc.), even the very bad (DRS 2006, TS2000, etc.), and the extremely expensive (Netia, Dalet, RCS); it’s really a Spanish inn, I didn’t think there were that many.
I only mention those that I know or have approached.
See you soon.

Hello,
I just discovered this forum while doing a research with Copernic on radio software to know the reputation of mine.
I don't know if I'm too late for our friend "MIRADJI" from Mayotte, but you can contact me directly at my private address: sergebloquet@free.fr.
I am the creator of the Antenna suites and you would greatly please me by trying our pro suite which may meet your needs.
Thank you in advance for your interest in our work.

Hello,
We are an associative web radio (flux4) and we use Hardata Dinesat Radio 8.0. The advantage at first is that you can already test it in a demo version on the publisher's site http://www.hardata.com/french/download.asp (like Jazler) but Hardata goes further than Jazler and it is possible to upgrade to more professional versions - Hardata HDX radio - you can listen to our stream at https://flux4.com/
