How to reinstall EXPLORER.EXE Solved

Question

Hello, I would like to know how to reinstall EXPLORER.EXE, I deleted it (because every time I opened a folder with video files, it crashed) in the following way:

start -> run -> type: regedit

In the dropdown menu go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{87D62D94-71B3-4b9a-9489-5FE6850DC73E}\

delete the registry key:

InProcServer32

but since it has been deleted, the properties for video or audio are extremely limited, so I would like to know if there is a miracle solution without going through system restore, etc....
PS: I am talking about Explorer.exe and not Internet Explorer.exe

No, but if you go into your Internet Explorer and type in the address bar   %windir% \explorer.exe,  you should be able to find it to execute it.

Hello neophyte50,

why don't you want to go through restoration?

In the meantime, try this:
"start." > "run" type: sfc /scannow
"ok" and wait for it to finish (a bit long)
at the end restart and see.

Note: if it asks you to insert the "installation cd." cancel everything
restart your pc in safe mode.
+ insert the cd while holding down the "shift" key for 30/40 seconds. (to prevent it from starting)
if too late click on "exit"
then do the sfc procedure

Hello, actually I came back from vacation and I turned on my PC. (in the evening)

The next morning, I turn it on again and a message appears:

"explorer.exe - Component not found " (title)

" This application could not start because BROWSEUIL.dll is not found. Reinstalling this application may fix the problem. " (text)

So please, if someone can help me :( .

Hello everyone ^^

So I had a problem with explorer.exe too...
I had an issue with my taskbar, the windows I minimized were no longer appearing in the taskbar.
The antivirus Norton found a virus in explorer.exe and thinking that this virus could be the cause, I removed this virus. Norton asked me to restart the PC, and upon restarting, I no longer had explorer.exe :S
So no more taskbar, no more icons, nothing!!! Apparently, it deleted explorer.exe along with the virus -_-

Now to recover it I used "run" > "run" type: sfc /scannow but without the CD and it didn't work...
I'll try tomorrow with the CD.

Otherwise, can I use the Windows repair with the CD without deleting anything on the computer???

I have another problem: Windows Explorer (explorer.exe) works fine!

For a while... then it freezes unexpectedly. I suspect the registry organizers (I use Registry Booster); at first everything gets better, but then some software starts to freeze here and there. There is another very useful software: "FreeCommander", which does the same thing as Windows Explorer, and it helps me out in this situation...

Try to copy "explorer.exe" from another working machine in the "C:\Windows" directory and paste it into the same directory on your machine! And there you go!

or else you press Windows (the key between the left Ctrl and Alt on the keyboard) + R, then a window opens and you just type explorer.exe and press Enter.
