How to unlock my blackberry?

Hello,
to unlock my Blackberry, I need to press the top "mute" button on the phone, but the problem is that most of the time when I press it, it takes me to the multimedia page.. I would like to know if it's possible to change the unlocking method..? Thank you!

    You can press: * and then the green phone! There you go :)
