Bonsoir,
please let me know if there is a function in Word 2011 to order footnotes in a list called bibliography or if this needs to be done manually.
When I click on bibliography, this message appears in the document

Bibliography
No sources specified in the active document.

Thank you in advance.

    Hello,

I don't know Word on Mac, but if you received this message, it's because you haven't entered any bibliography sources.

If you have a number of sources to reference, you should have a Manage Sources button, and by clicking on the New button, you create the source, and you do this for each source.
On the left, you have the list of sources contained in a general bibliography source file, and on the right the list of sources for the document. You can copy from one to the other.

Then, each time you want to reference a book, magazine, or something else in your document, you should have an Insert Citation button, and you choose your source.
This button also allows you to create a source while writing the document.

And only at the end, you will be able to insert your bibliography list.
