PlayStation Network Under Maintenance

Hello,

at this moment as I speak to you on 11/17/11 at 6:59 PM, the PlayStation Network is under maintenance. What is happening? Is it a hack or was it already planned because the first time I wanted to play Battlefield 3 online, the connection took a long time and yielded nothing. Now the PlayStation Network is under maintenance.

Please reassure me.

I think, but I'm not sure, that it's some kind of update on the servers and the players can't play as a result. Don't worry, it's intentional on Sony's part and it's not a hack.
