Hello everyone,

I’m trying to control my Freebox with the remote of my SAMSUNG LE26R73BD TV, but I can't find a code that works. If any of you happen to have this setup, I would greatly appreciate it!!!

Hello everyone.
I struggled to find the code (because it's not the same for everyone).
In my case, I looked it up because I found a software on my Android that allows me to turn my mobile phone into a Freebox remote control... for those interested, the software is called "freebox mobile".
Anyway, the code you're all looking for is here:

For all the following manipulations, you don't need your remote control, use the buttons on the front of your Freebox HD...

- Turn on your Freebox HD
- Then your menu will display where you can choose either to watch your channels, your voicemail,... anyway, select "settings"
- Then select "general information"

Your code will then be displayed that you can use to link your remote to your Freebox HD in the "information" section.

No, depending on the brand and often the model of the universal remote, code 499 does not correspond to the same frequencies.  -- To err is human, to persist (in error) is diabolical.

an additional update for Samsung televisions.  After testing, the codes 499 and 1482 (4 digits?) do not work.  Does anyone have a solution?

Otherwise, to make it short: if the code does not exist or is not complete (in terms of functions), which will ALWAYS BE THE CASE since certain functions that have become important like HOME (the Home button on FBX V4) or INFO will never be directly supported.  Image Version: You have a category B license, light vehicle, you can drive and park several different models. But here, you decide to parallel park with a 3-ton truck. Even if the configuration of the steering wheel/pedals/gear lever/brakes/mirrors resembles that of a car, it is nothing like a car! 8-/  Desperate: It was foolish on SAMSUNG's part not to include the learning function ;-) given that the first remote control came into existence in 1956 and that the universal function appeared in the late 90s, and since then, the universal remote with learning function has existed! ;-)  Mine cost me 5 or 6 € at ALDI three years ago, brand LIFETEC (MEDION) It is true that it takes about twenty minutes to teach it the most common functions or all of them (this depends on the user's understanding of the learning function. an example link with MEDION model. https://www.medionshop.fr/mdshop/popup/printViewZProductDetailB2C.jsp Note: The memory does not erase when changing the batteries!
