Musical greeting card mechanism

Hello,
I was wondering how the mechanism of musical cards works that play music when opened.
Can we create this system and embed a specific song when opening a notebook by adding this system inside the notebook?

    Hi,

    it's quite simple actually.
    There's a kind of beeper programmed to play certain sounds and connected to a small (very small) battery.
    When the card is closed, a small piece of plastic or paper opens the circuit, so electricity doesn't flow. When you open the card, the small piece is removed, closing the circuit and playing the music continuously.
    After that, I have no idea how to program the beeper, sorry :s

      It's pretty simple, there are two wires, each connected to the + and - of the battery, with the beeper in the middle. Quite straightforward :)
