An internet connection in... "alternance"?

Hello,

I’d like to know if it’s possible to have an internet subscription via a box/modem in “alternation”…? That is, not all the time, intermittently. Or a subscription where you can move a box/modem...

Let me explain^^ My family and I have just taken over a family house (which we are renovating) where we spend about 3/4 of our holidays. At first, we were using 3G keys (2) but that limited the connection to only 2 computers (out of 4) and it’s slow… So the idea of having a modem (box) seemed obvious^^ (we already have a Free modem at “our” place). The thing is, we don’t want to pay a standard monthly subscription because we only spend our holidays there...

Is there an operator that offers such a plan? And not at too high a price? (less than €30)

Or perhaps a plan that includes a box but that we can move around, or two boxes/modems that wouldn’t be used together/for certain periods. (a bit fuzzy :s)

I don’t know at all if this is possible, and if it is possible, how it would work… =|

Thanks

Nirvat

    If you are with Free
then by generating an identifier here
    https://www.free.fr/adsl/pages/internet/connexion/acces-hotspot-wifiFree.html
you will be able to connect to Wi-Fi

it is built for that purpose originally
for Freebox owners while on vacation or traveling

you just need to have a FreeWifi point
    where you are located

Thank you for your reply ;) But I don’t see a FreeWifi connection in my available networks... so even with my credentials (which are with "me"), I doubt I can use this feature. (I only spot Livebox networks with a connection bar...)

Is there no other way? :s

it is not about the place where your box is located (even if it should be available there too) but about your travels and vacations, provided that you meet the following passage you must have missed ;-)

All Freebox HD devices with the WiFi module activated thus offer a WiFi access point to Freenaute community members without reducing the subscriber's bandwidth to which the Freebox HD is contributing, the latter being allocated as a priority to the subscriber.

Indeed, each Freebox HD transmits two distinct WiFi networks:
    1 - The Freenaute private WiFi network, intended for personal use at home. It is protected by a personal security key (WEP or WPA);
2 - The Free community WiFi network, accessible to all uncabled subscribers once they have entered their Free WiFi credentials.

and this is not the identifier to connect to the Free account
it's another one that you generate via the link

Yep but if there is no Freebox within reach of my computer, I’m in the * ? (our "vacation" house is a bit away from the other residences by a big garden ^^' )
    (unless I still haven’t understood...)

So the only way to have a connection with a modem/box in our holiday home is to... take out a subscription?! >< (or to pray that our neighbors install one ^^)

Too bad, I would have tried =')

    Thank you

(--' I took too long to modify, so I triple-post sorry)

Chrome, when you write: “if you have an active Francetelecom line and no hotpost freewifi is available, you can connect via a 54 K modem using the numbers provided and the username that are not the ADSL usernames, but you still need to read the emails and mail received”
That is, with a normal telephone line and a 54K modem (what is that? O.O A modem provided by Free or bought on the market? if possible) I can connect to Free’s network and therefore to the Internet normally?
(54K, is it considered broadband or not? ><')

calm down, take a breath, as you can see I’m not registered, so no tracking of your responses or anything else, these are small pleasures, the line telecommunication active wherever you are and a 54K modem, it’s not high-speed, 54 theoretical, but if you don’t have the number and the ID and the modem it’s useless to get upset, it only lets you browse the internet, no more, and you pay for the connection time at a reduced rate, it’s a specific number, it’s just to troubleshoot given the speed and the cost, not for downloading or online gaming, I’m afraid I haven’t been very clear when saying that the box cannot be roaming, you have no other choice but to make another subscription request to perhaps, not sure, have the same type of internet access. Of course, two subscriptions mean double the price, the result is not certain; you’ll have to see if your site is eligible for ADSL or not.
