TI 82, fraction simplification

Good evening,
I am in the second year of high school this year, and I have a TI-82 Stats.fr calculator.
I am looking for how to simplify a fraction with this calculator.
Because last year I could do it using the S<=>D button on the Casio fx-92.

Press the "alpha" and "enter" keys to make "resol" or press the "math" key and then the "2" and "enter" keys.

Hello, I’m in my final year and I have roughly the same problem except that my calculator gives me everything in decimals, making it difficult to provide an accurate result. I would like to know how we can convert the result into fractions because even pressing math > fraction doesn’t work... Thank you in advance!

It doesn't work when the number we're trying to convert isn't a rational number.

Example:

  • With 0.5 we get 1/2
  • But with 0.500001 it doesn't work!

So you must have applied the function ►Frac to a number coming from a calculation that wasn't a rational number.
