Hello everyone.
I would like to open the ports on my SFR Neufbox to have an open NAT for Modern Warfare 2 because it's a hassle to find a match, and I'm lagging in-game... anyway.
Can someone please help?
Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 535.1

Hello,
Type 192.168.1.1 and then go to Network -> NAT
Then open ports 1500, 3005, 3101, and 28960 like this:
- In the port translation section, you have a line to fill out. For the name, put whatever you want (I recommend something like mw2 to help you remember); for the protocol, it's UDP; for the type, it's Port; for the external port, it's 1500; the destination IP address, if you don't know it, there's a button next to it, click on it and select your gaming PC; for the destination port, it's 1500; check "enable" and click the + button.
You've just opened the first port! For the others, it's the same process, just replace 1500 with 3005, then 3101, then 28960 in the external port and destination port.
You'll see, you'll find games much more easily :)
Hope this helps! -
I've been playing MW2 on PC with strict NAT for almost 2 years.
It doesn't cause any problems, you just have to wait a bit longer to find a match, but you can still do it by entering your IP address in your browser and logging in with your SFR credentials, and if I remember correctly, you need to go to port forwarding and open certain ports.
Anyway, that's all I know!
Good luck! -
For me, it takes an extra 2 minutes to find a match, and sometimes friends can't join me for a private match. Otherwise, I know I need to do that, but not precisely...
