Badoo: "Too popular member"?

You are surely right. However, among these people we cannot contact, there are two that I know, or rather knew, since we have more or less lost touch. One is in a relationship and happy, and I find it very hard to imagine her paying to meet as many people as possible! She is a person very focused on her couple and family who doesn't really like all that social media stuff, etc.
And the second is a former colleague who doesn't know much about computers and wouldn't give his credit card number on a website for anything in the world!

That's why this story seems fishy to me.

Thank you! Apparently, we can indeed control who will contact us. But I went to check my settings, and I can only choose:
- to be contacted by everyone OR only by registered members
- to be contacted by all members OR only by members who have a profile picture.

However, I am registered AND I have a profile picture... There’s no reason I shouldn’t be able to contact whoever I want. I'm not even sure I can write to the "too popular" ones after paying!

I'm sure there’s something unclear with Badoo...

I read it! It was an interesting lead (well, I'm not investigating a criminal case either)... But there are a lot of "too popular members" who have no photo, either in their profile or in their album. Therefore, they couldn't have been rated.

Another lead, although I don't think it's the explanation: there are many of these inaccessible members who haven't logged in "for over a week" (without further details). Their inbox might be full. But again, these are often members without photos, who provide no information in their profile, and I don't think that they can be contacted much as a result. On this kind of site, we primarily write to profiles with photos...
