CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS Activation Key

Hello,

I have the following issue with this video game: I bought it last Christmas for my nephew, but he didn't have a powerful enough setup at home to install it. So, I installed it on my PC to satisfy his impatience.

In September, after changing his mic, he called me and asked me to uninstall the game so he could use the activation key at home. I complied and informed him right away. However, he called me yesterday to say that I must have uninstalled it incorrectly because he keeps getting a message saying that his activation key is already in use.

I searched through my hard drive; I indeed found a "steam" folder containing residual files and an executable (but it only takes up a few MB compared to the original 7 or 8 GB). I went after it aggressively and deleted the folder in Programs (Windows 7) and ran CCleaner just in case. But nothing works, my nephew continues to scold me and call me useless (next time...).

Do you have any idea? Do you know if there is an activation software that can help complete the uninstallation? I'm especially thinking about the registry, where I'm too much of a novice to venture.

Thank you

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 9.0

your steam account is linked to the game, and uninstalling either one won't allow you to install it on another steam account and a different pc with a different account. Either you give him your steam account hoping he won't betray you, or you don't give it.

A priori, the only solution is when purchasing on Steam or other Steam products in stores, you sometimes have the option to send the game to a friend through an invitation; this is the only way to let a third party benefit from the game, through an invitation. For this, you need to already have a well-stocked game library.
