Here's my problem: I need to transport my computer monitor but to do so I have to put it in a box, yet I can't remove the stand and I'm too afraid of breaking it. For those who know or have taken a look, it's typical that the screen is connected to a base by a "piece of plastic." The base is no problem; I can separate it from that piece of plastic, but as for that piece itself, I just can't seem to get it off. Is there a trick or a method to do this without damaging the monitor, which is still quite expensive?
