Loss of PC display on Panasonic TV HDMI.

Hello,
I apologize if this topic is not in the right section, but I didn't know where to put it. I've done a lot of research, but nothing really corresponds to my problem.
Let me explain: my computer (Athlon X2 7850+, 4GB of RAM, 3TB HDD, Geforce 9800GTX+) is connected to my Panasonic TX-P42GT20E plasma TV via a DVI to HDMI adapter, then an HDMI 1.4 cable. The display works fine, no overscan (overscan disabled). However, if I change the channel and decide to go back to HDMI1 (where the PC is connected), the display never returns. The same happens if I launch a game or an application that "cuts" the display for a microsecond; as soon as there is a cut in the display, I stay on a black screen, and the only solution is to reboot the PC, which is extremely annoying. I've tried about ten different NVIDIA drivers without success...
I hope someone will provide me with a solution.

    I’m replying for those who might have a similar problem, you need to go to the Nvidia control panel. Then disable audio over HDMI and select the option, no scaling and everything works perfectly.

      Hello, I have a small question about this. I have exactly the same signal loss problem when I launch a game. After disabling the HDMI sound via the nVidia control panel, how do you get sound?
      My question might seem silly, but I'm stuck on this issue.
      Thanks in advance. Just so you know, my PC is connected to the TV via HDMI only.

      Sorry for the delay in responding. I use a Logitech speaker kit, so I didn't need the TV sound.

      fact, it was simply the HDMI cable. Yet it looked like new and showed no visual defects. With another cable, it works. So it's worth checking, even in the absence of visual defects.
