Bonjour, I'd like to know how to read a DVD in PDF format, or how to store it on my computer, because I want to watch a movie on the computer since my DivX player is broken. Thank you for the information.

In theory, Windows XP can read DVDs in UDF format directly.  Only Windows 95/98/ME require a driver (UDF Reader from Adaptec).

The most well-known software is PowerDVD, WinDVD...
To see if you can play them, you take Windows Media Player for example; if you can play it, it means you have a decoder in your system.
Video DVDs contain compressed video, so you need a decompressor, like PowerDVD... which allows you to play it with any player afterwards.
In general, with purchased players, you have software included to play DVD videos.

Hello:
PDF is a file format but UDF is a file system for CDs or DVDs, which we refer to when formatting a flash drive with a file system such as FAT, FAT32, or NTFS.
There is an old file system for CDs and DVDs called: CDFC
All Windows systems read this format.
