Hello,
I've been having a problem for three days: my SMTP sending server smtp.bbox.fr is disconnected from my account information.
I receive my emails but I can't send any?!
Can someone tell me how to reconnect my sending servers?
Thanks

Hello,
Hello Ritchi,
The page provided by Ritchi correctly indicates smtp.bbox.fr for Bouygues with a bbOx
POP Server: pop3.bbox.fr
SMTP Server: smtp.bbox.fr
IMAP Server: imap4.bbox.fr
So, don’t listen to the ISP, they don’t know anything at all. They just want to get rid of the problem.
Always use your ISP's server, so for you = smtp.bbox.fr
However, review the rest of the settings. In the advanced settings of the smtp server, specify custom port 25 instead of the 3 default ports.
Also, make sure that no SSL checkbox is checked for the outgoing port; and this is always in the Advanced settings of the smtp server. Do not confuse them with the Advanced button directly accessible, which concerns the incoming server. You need to expand the smtp menu and go to "modify the list of smtp servers" to access the Advanced settings of the smtp server.
See this discussion, where the person no longer believed it would work, but ended up succeeding after correcting a small setting.

Review all the indicated settings, I use it for laposte and it works perfectly.

Hello,
I assume you are using the Apple application called Mail.
If that’s the case, is there a small gray circle next to your inbox containing a white triangle with an exclamation point inside?
If so, then:
- click on that small gray circle: a popup will appear and click on "Connect all accounts." Another method: in Mail, open the menu "MAIL -> Connect all accounts."
- then click on the "Check" button or open the menu "MAIL -> Check for new mail."

Hello,
I can't seem to reconnect these accounts. I've tried everything!
For the Bal, I've reconfigured all the accounts, but every time it defaults to "none" for the outgoing server even though each of my accounts has its own server. Everything is getting mixed up (the mail server is switching to Yahoo's, etc.). I don't understand anything anymore and it's frustrating me. I can't even delete an account to recreate it!!

Hello,
The only sending server (SMTP) you should use in the configuration of your various email accounts is that of your Internet service provider.
Since you have a BBox, you are with Bouygues, and therefore you should set the SMTP server to smtp.bouygtel.fr according to this page.

Thank you. I really don’t understand anything!!! I just contacted my ISP who told me to set my laposte and/or yahoo server.
So I deleted my sending server: smtp.bbox.fr and I set the new one but it still doesn't work.
Thanks anyway.
