At startup, look at the bottom of the screen, the command for setup is probably F2, del, etc...

Check that the network LAN is enabled, also look in integrated peripherals, on-board.

Then for the report, check -->> Here <<--

Copy from the beginning including --> DMI.

Do not include the rest until the end and paste the report in your next message.

Edit: Remove the email address if present in the report.

I just saw when I clicked on HERE and I see that it's not the same computer; this one is the Compaq 2311CQ while mine is the Compaq 2000CQ. That might be the reason it's not working.
