Hi

I just got my Wave 2 not long ago and I would like to upgrade it to Bada 2.0 as well. (I've installed Kies and I'm on Windows XP) but when I plug in my Wave 2, my computer tells me something like there's a problem with the connection between my phone and my computer. And Kies doesn't recognize my phone.
Please help me!!

Try installing the drivers through Kies (available in one of the Kies menus, I can't remember which one)
Try to see if the problem persists with a PC running Windows 7 or with another cable.

Hello,
I have a Wave 2 (running Bada 1.2) and my partner has a Wave 1 (running Bada 1).
I've been connecting my Wave 2 to Kies for several months in vain... no Bada 2 update....
Today I connect my boyfriend's Wave 1... and there... update..... BADA 2!!!!! He has a Wave 1 now running Bada 2 perfectly.....
But it doesn't work for my Wave 2... when I connect to KIES, it tells me that the latest firmware version is installed.... and I'm still on Bada 1.2.
Do you understand anything about this?
Has this happened to anyone?

Thank you

Hello,

the Bada 2.0 version has only been released for the Wave 1 (all operators); only the Wave 2 marked SFR has access to the update for the moment.

I invite you to visit this website, which clearly details the status of the Bada 2 deployment.

You have everything you need for that on fosamobi
However, I would like to inform everyone that I have 2 or 3 insulting emails from the site admin
If anyone is interested, feel free to ask me, I would be happy to send you the screenshots
Best regards

I'm interested, but insults about what??? Because if it's about Samsung, yes, but otherwise it's not worth it.

I have the Bouygues Telecom Wave I
and I updated today to Bada 2 via the KIES software, encountered no issues. It's new and great, and it works.

Hello, it's already the end of April 2013 and still no update for my WAVE 2 8530

SAMSUNG really doesn't take care of the "unbranded" French versions!!!!

I didn't understand how to download a version of bada 2 and load it onto my phone.
Can you help me?

You can download any version of Bada by searching on Google, just be careful to pick the right one (Wave 1 or 2). To flash, look at any result by searching for "flash Bada 2" on Google, or by looking for tutorials.
Warning, flashing will erase all data from the phone

To go further, you can check the "xda forum" for the Samsung Wave (in English), where you'll find custom ROMs (Turko v10.1 for example) and even the possibility of switching to Android (still in alpha, no calls or data).

Hello,

Sure, official and unofficial information is pouring in, but Bada 2.0 was supposed to be released in June... Delayed to August, delayed to September, delayed to the end of October and finally today November!

This is actually highlighted in the comments of the article whose link you leaked... I'm fed up with waiting for this damn OS!

bada 2.0 exists, it is available on the internet, the real official version Kies, I swear!!

The only problem is that Mr. Bada hasn’t yet opened the floodgates for us users to enjoy it on our little phones that cost us an arm and a leg =)

But you can find it, go to frabada, there is an article on this subject (that’s where I got the info) and there’s the site to download the official version

This is not a fake, I swear it exists! I haven’t installed it because ... I don’t know how to do it --_--"

So there it is, all ready but just not available via Kies…..

It's good, guys, I think the new version of Bada is here!! Well, I think so because I'm not a pro in smartphones, but when I connected my phone to Kies, they offered it to me, so I think... I'm currently updating it, and it's taking forever, you have no idea how annoying that is.... Anyway, check it out to see what's really going on and let me know afterward....

Hi, the update will be done through Kies regardless of the operator since (I suppose) Kies is a Samsung product and not an operator's product since we all have the same one. The only update that exists at the moment is the unofficial beta version, and with a little luck, we might get it by December 25th ^^ good luck to all of us!

Hi everyone,
I have a little problem with the update to bada 2.0. I have the Wave 2, and yesterday when I connected it to Kies, they asked me to update to bada 2.0.3.11xxxx, I can't remember exactly. So far, so good. I followed the instructions, everything went smoothly. After the update, I waited for my phone to reboot, but nothing happened. I waited for an hour, still nothing, so I waited until the next day (today). I checked my phone and it still hasn't rebooted. I disconnected it from Kies and checked the firmware version in settings/about phone/system info... to my surprise, I'm still on bada 1.2 ==". I plugged it back into Kies, but they said I have successfully updated to bada 2.0, yet I can't launch Google Maps because I'm not on bada 2. WTF

I'm such an idiot; I should have gone for an Android--"

Please HELP!!!!!

It is the Samsung Kies update that has been carried out here, the update to Bada 2 is not yet available.

And there you go: I have the same thing... I installed Kies on another computer because I'm running Linux and there's no Kies on Ubuntu... Then => firmware update to the latest version => reboot the phone => still on Bada 1.2 no Google Maps :/ ... => This sucks

I would really like to be able to reinstall the firmware but apparently there's no option... And to think that Bada is based on Linux... what a shame...

Bada 2 simply hasn't been released...

Do you even read the responses? They all replied that bada 2.0 should be out in October, normally. In your Samsung Wave, you should have (normally) a Wave 2, some cables, and a CD. On the CD, you have the KIES program that allows you to update your OS, but for that, you'll have to wait until it's uploaded by the Koreans ^^

Personally, I have another question... how do you update programs like Flash... etc. because some videos aren't supported by my Wave 2 and I get the little logo with the white f on a red background (which on my PC means "you don't have the right version")

help?

To my knowledge, you cannot update Flash other than through Samsung Kies (firmware update) or the Wave update tool.
Bada 2 will support a new version of Flash, but I don't think it will allow you to view all web videos (some sites are not mobile compatible).

You do what you want... Personally, I've had enough of always waiting for the goodwill of the operators... So I flipped! In life, you either whine or you act, so those who complain: either flip or wait in silence!

Did you flash in 2.0? I'm staying on 1.2; there's no official 2.0 version on samfirmware for BADA.

nanojovi

Yes, in bada 2.0 but with a beta version (XPKH3) that Samfirmware released before getting reprimanded by Samsung, which declared it would no longer release beta versions before the official update. Nevertheless, I don't regret flashing it, even if I had to fix some bugs and the version is incomplete anyway. It gives a good idea of what bada 2.0 will be like and it's a small revolution, so don't hesitate and go for it! You can join us at www.fosamobi.fr if you want!

The version of Vodafone MBUK2-MVFGK11 available for download at Sam Mobile (which has taken over the Bada firmware from Samfirmware) released after PKH3 is even better than PKH3, which also had crashes.
