I missed the BTS.

Hello, I just saw that I failed my BTS. I plan to retake it as a private candidate next year.
But I absolutely need to work during this year; financially, it’s essential. (I’m 23 years old, in a relationship)
I don’t know how to approach companies by mentioning that I have a failed BTS (for example, in cover letters). Will I still be able to find a job? I’m very worried.

    Hi Iron :)

    In that case, in cover letters, without mentioning the words "failure", "missed", "didn't get", etc... You just say "BTS level", and you specify that you will retake it next year as a private candidate. This way of presenting things is perfectly correct and acceptable.

    My field is quite different from yours, but the same rules apply when I look at the current job market. I have worked in commercial and administrative assistance without any formal qualifications. 
    I relied on my various extracurricular internships and the skills I gained from different temporary jobs. I created a reverse-chronological CV highlighting my abilities and the most significant experiences. I tailored my cover letter to the specific company. I had the opportunity to secure a permanent contract in a small SME and prepared for my BTS through VAE while working. 
    I had to accept a lower-paying job while I proved myself. Despite failing my BTS, I received an internal promotion and a significant pay raise for over 10 years. 
    I don't know if this meets your expectations, but nothing ventured, nothing gained...

    I join the other comments. I also missed a BTS - I mentioned the level on my CV. I had the opportunity to work for several years in a company without the diploma. Knowledge is one thing, but motivation and experience can make the difference, especially if you mention that you intend to retake it as a private candidate and highlight your professional skills (internships or others). There are opportunities in the job market. You are young, don't hesitate, it's an extra asset for employers.
