Hello,
I would like to create a math sheet for a second-grade student. I am using Word 2010 and I would like to set up column operations...
I looked in the equation editor embedded in Word, but it does not allow for creating simple additions or subtractions in columns...
The problem is aligning all the numbers and making the horizontal line.
Could you please help me?
Thank you in advance,
Have a good evening!

Hello
Excel is undoubtedly better suited for this kind of exercise.
However, with Word, the simplest way is to use tables.
Example for adding 3 numbers:
You create a table with one column and four rows without borders.
You add a border just between the 3rd and 4th rows, which will serve as the horizontal line.
You select the entire column (and only the column), and you set a decimal tab stop
and then all you have to do is... enter the numbers

But how do you create a decimal tab stop?
