"Initialization" stuck on HP 2600n

Question

Hello everyone,

Having a small issue like many with the red color of my HP LaserJet 2600N printer, I carefully disassembled it... with photos to put everything back in the right place...
disassembly / reassembly perfect!

I turned my printer back on, started a print job that initiated well but got stuck in the rollers...
I then opened the lid, removed the paper and closed the lid...

Since then, "INITIALIZATION" is displayed on the printer and it's impossible to do anything... as well as the two small green and red LEDs blinking

We have disassembled and reassembled it 3 times... still the same....

Do you have any ideas before taking it to the repair shop.... ???

I think I’ll take it for repairs tomorrow... but if I could have avoided it... that would have been better ^^

I read about the belt... but I'm unsure...
we’ll see what the repairman says... hoping it won’t cost more than the printer :-S

Hello,

Well, I took my printer to the repair shop and they didn't exactly tell us what was wrong. Just that they couldn't manage to fix it.

They said they could order parts, but without being sure that the problem was with the part, and that consequently, we would have to pay for any part they would order since they would unbox and test them until they found the one that needed to be replaced.

Since we were quite in a hurry and a bit scared of the final bill, we picked up the printer and bought another one.

We wanted to take apart the old printer but we haven't had the courage to do it yet ;-)
