Hello,
I heard about a site called Chatroulette where you can see anyone via webcam!!! I would like more information about this, please. Does it really work like that randomly or does my webcam need to be activated? Can someone really see me without my permission? How can I appear like this to others when I don't even know this site?!
Knowing that my webcam is built into my laptop, I don't know if it starts automatically when the PC is booted or if I have to use it myself?!

For this site, you have several options:
You will be asked if you want to allow the site to activate your webcam. If you answer no, you will be part of the "no webcam" group.
To know if your camera is on or not, a green light (LED) will light up next to your camera. If it is off, it means your camera is inactive.
Then, indeed, you can see anyone, always randomly. However, you can limit your search to people who have activated their webcam or not.
So if you do not turn on your webcam, you will have little chance of seeing people with their webcams active.
At any time, you or the person you have been connected with can choose to switch to someone else by pressing the next button.
You will then be randomly connected with another person, with no possibility of meeting again.
You can talk either by microphone or by text (like MSN).
Caution: however, since the site has experienced a boom, it has been deserted because many people have started displaying themselves anonymously while doing shocking things. They are called "queutards." I’ll let you guess what they do.
