Honestly, Orange could have sent you the CD for Vista since you are a customer with them! It seems logical to provide the new CD! You should get it by calling them; I know it’s not free to contact them, but if you explain that you now have Vista because you have a new computer and you can't use your ADSL on this computer. Otherwise, the solution would be for me to make a copy of my CD and send it to you, because personally, I think it’s still important that you can access your Livebox by installing Wifi properly (without installing all the unnecessary stuff they include, of course). Otherwise, searching online might lead you to install the wrong drivers, complicate your life, and you won’t have access to your Livebox.

I received this CD when I had to change my Livebox. But they had previously sent me an update CD, so I’m sure that by calling them, they will send it to you. Keep me posted, and if worse comes to worst, I’ll see if I can make a copy and send it to you..

I also thought you could just say that your Livebox is faulty! It will then be replaced by a new one with the CD for Vista (it's free, of course), because if you don't have it, it's normal that you can't install WiFi since the drivers are different from those for XP. I have ADSL on both, XP and Vista. But try to contact them first.

And contrary to what I read above, you should not plug in the USB WiFi adapter before inserting the CD; you must first insert the CD and wait for them to tell you to plug in the USB WiFi adapter. It is not recognized on its own at all, and even trying to search for the drivers on the CD doesn't work! At least for Orange.

first of all I'm sorry for not replying sooner
to be honest the live box has been mine since 2004 and therefore they do not replace them nor provide a CD for Vista
I'm not very proud of myself and I'm going to explain what I did: I made a scene in the Orange store by threatening that if they didn't find a quick solution to my wifi key and livebox problem I was going to break everything in their store finally after threatening to call the cops the Orange representative understood my state of anger let’s say it had been over a month that I was being sent back and forth between the paid Orange service 3900 and the store
I don’t know how he managed it he took back my old live box and gave me a new one it remains a commercial gesture but unfortunately it had to get to that point, the commercial service gave me 1 month free and a promotional offer on channels
today I thank this person who must have gone against his hierarchy to be able to help a customer which their service couldn’t achieve despite the numerous “costs” of calls to 3900
everything has been working properly since but I still think I’ll unsubscribe in a few months to switch to other operators who may not be better but are cheaper

Regarding the Orange Liveboxes, the ones currently being distributed do not come with an installation CD for the Wi-Fi keys. Only the drivers for connecting via Ethernet, USB, and for equipped laptops via Wi-Fi.
