Hello,
Configuration: Windows XP / Safari 534.16
When typing a text in Word 2003, I notice that if I place the cursor in the middle of the text and want to insert a word, for example, when I press the space key, instead of creating a space, the characters to the right of the cursor are deleted one by one instead of creating a space.
Please help me.
Thank you.

Hello
try two identical things:
either:
press the insert key at the top right of the keyboard
or:
Toolbar / Tool / Option and in one of the tabs in the window (I can't remember which one, before 2007)
uncheck: typing replaces selection

Let's ask ourselves if we are not the only ones to understand what we are explaining?

it’s successful
Thank you very much, I had been deleting my text for a quarter of an hour trying to understand why it was doing that.
