Edit a single track in Audacity

Hello,

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 8.0

I'm trying to correct a stereo radio recording. On one of the tracks (or rather, the channel), I want to delete or attenuate a very small piece (noise)

But is it possible to remove it or work on just one "track"? When I try to select, Audacity takes both stereo channels simultaneously.

Thank you in advance :)

    you're not answering the question!

    to modify only one track:
    in tracks, uncheck "Link tracks"

yes, it's a bump but I couldn't remember where that function was and it
always helps to stumble upon your own posts...okay, we feel dumb but
    it’s faster this way ^^

      Hello,
actually, it’s not in the "Tracks" menu that you will find the function "Link (or "Unlink") stereo tracks", but by clicking on the small black arrow pointing downwards located in the track frame at the beginning of the tracks (where you can find "Mute", "Solo", etc.).

Thank you very much, I am in the process of mixing the album of the year on Audacity and thanks to your response I was able to fix this issue in no time!

You can select the area where the parasite is, and try a swing (to the right or left) to remove the parasite.
