In the protocol layers, ICMP is located like IP, at layer 3, and relies on IP to function. It therefore does not correspond to a port (TCP or UDP) to open, but to a protocol number in the IP encapsulation: 01 for ICMP (06 for TCP, 17 for UDP).

Are you sure that the ping is blocked on the router?

Can you specify more precisely what you have done?
How are you creating a DNS, where, why?

To which address or URL are you sending your ping requests? Can you display the result?
Can you test with the tracert command to the same IP or URL?

what do you want to ping from what?
just so you know, in NAT, you won't be able to forward the ping because the ICMP protocol doesn't have ports but an identifier number for each connection, which allows it to traverse dynamic NAT, but cannot be forwarded to a machine because it is initialized in a variable and random way.
