Hello,

I unsubscribed from this site on December 4, 2010. However, they still charged my account for the subscription on December 7 and March 7, 2011. I can't find the contact form, and their phone number 0800944949, which is supposed to work 24/7, has no one on the line. How can I contact them to recover my money? What are my options?
Thank you in advance for your responses.

    Hello,

Send them a formal notice by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt.
Request the reimbursement of the excess amounts withdrawn.

    Here is the address:

    Meetic
    696 rue Yves Kermen
    92100 BOULOGNE BILLANCOURT

By doing a Whois on the URL, you can find the owner of the site:

    Marc Simoncini
    ILIUS
    4, avenue Desfeux
    92100 Boulogne-Billancourt

Contact your bank and refuse these withdrawals.

Optionally, file a complaint for fraud against them.

      Hello,

I encountered the same problem when I deleted my account; the email associated with it continued to charge on 01/01/2011 and 02/04/2011 for a total of 160 Euros charged illegally.

I have indeed followed their terms and conditions, and furthermore, I also called.

I have an appointment with Que Choisir and I sent a letter to Mr. Johan Le Bail (Director of Customer Services) for a formal notice.

For my part and my lawyer, an unread email does not constitute proof of commitment, and furthermore, using banking details is a fraudulent act.

A complaint has also been filed at the request of Que Choisir.

I will keep you updated on the outcome; I have an appointment on May 4th with Que Choisir.

I confirm they are scammers, they use bank details and don't display the price of phone communications
I think we need to report these fraudulent acts.

      Hello,
I confirm that they are scammers as well, on 25 08 2012 at 21:04:25 I was given a
new subscription that I did not request, and they withdrew money from my account. I am going to the bank
and moreover, they do this on Saturday night when the bank is closed. I will go to the police station to file a complaint.

Hello, you just need to call customer service at 0170360370 and threaten them with a complaint, and everything will be back to normal. They even deleted my profile politely.

    Hello Chrisvorascam,

Thank you for your help. Do you really think that we can refuse withdrawals that have already been debited from you?

    Thank you in advance.

    Best regards.

I paid for 6 months, I had my computer repaired since I no longer have Meetic and I lost my codes.

Personally, I signed up on the App Store application, I unsubscribed with the App Store, but that didn't stop them from charging my card three times €39 in less than 15 days. I have proof of this, and I am going to file a complaint.

    Hello,
I don't know what to do! Every month more than 160 euros are being deducted from my account despite the fact that I didn't ask for anything. They're thieves, but we need to act urgently. I want to get my money back as quickly as possible. Please help me!
    Thank you.

Try more serious and ethical sites that go in the consumer's interest; it's rare, but they exist!

    Hello,

I am sincerely sorry that you are experiencing an issue with your unsubscription from Meetic.

When you unsubscribe from our site, all charges are definitively stopped.

To understand the problem and find a quick solution, I invite you to contact our Customer Service at 0 800 94 49 49. I am very surprised that you were unable to reach us. The number works fine. I just tested it myself and was connected to an advisor in less than a minute.

    Best regards,

    Sophie from Meetic

I have doubts after seeing the comments on this forum; it's hard to believe that Meetic is headquartered in Abidjan.

I confirm that even when you call to request a solution for what has been fraudulently withdrawn, the teleoperator doesn't care at all!!!!

The people who answer the phone are very rude and take themselves very seriously. IT'S A SCAM and action must be taken quickly.
