Maman is 33 years old. Dad's age is equal to 7/6 of Mom's age. What is Dad's age?

To find Dad's age, you calculate:
Dad's age = (7/6) * Mom's age = (7/6) * 33 = 38.5 years old.

So, Dad is 38.5 years old.

    You divide Mom's age of 33 years by 6 (33/6=5.5), which gives you 1/6 (=5.5) of Mom's age, then you multiply by 7 to get Dad's age (7 x (33/6) = 7 x 5.5 = 38.5 years)

    Or you simply multiply Mom's age of 33 years by 7/6 (33 x (7/6) = 33 x 1.16 = 38.5 years)

You multiplied days, so you will have days as a result.

If you want it in hours, you do 21 days multiplied by 24 (21x24=504 hours), which you multiply by 6/7, 504x(6/7)=432 hours.

Mathieu buys a motorcycle worth 4,305 euros. He pays 1/3 of this amount as a deposit, then, upon delivery, he pays 3/4 of what he still owed. How much do his parents contribute?

      4305/3 = 1435
      4305 - 1435 = 2870
      2870/4 = 717.5
      717.5 x 3 = 2152.5

      Mathieu pays 1/3 of €4305 (€4305 x (1/3) = €1435 paid at the order), then upon delivery, he still owes (€4305 - €1435 = €2870), he will pay 3/4 of €2870 (€2870 x (3/4) = €2152.5).
And the remaining money will be paid by the parents (€2870 - €2152.5 = €717.5).
