Unable to remove Ethernet cable!! Solved

Question

Hello,

I can no longer remove the Ethernet cable from my laptop. However, the clip for releasing it is not broken. What should I do? I don't want to force it for fear of breaking everything...

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 3.6.13

but if it's twisted it can get stuck !! try (gently) to push at the clip with a small screwdriver right at the base of the RJ45 socket

Good evening

Push the connector all the way in before pressing down fully on the ratchet, then pull while nudging it a bit from side to side...

But if you break the ratchet, it’s not too bad, as your cable will still work, as long as nothing is pulling on it...

Hello there!

I forgot to reply to you and thank you for your help, but I eventually managed to remove it with a pair of pliers and a good dose of arm strength, lol!
