Hello,
For the past few weeks, my Facebook account has been disabled. I have been sending emails every day, and finally, I received a response yesterday stating that my fake name was problematic. I was instructed to reply to the email specifying my real last name.
However, just a few minutes ago, I received an email asking me to send a scan of my ID. They guarantee that after verification, they will destroy the scan. Of course, I won't do that; I find it very... dangerous, and I'm honestly surprised.
Has this happened to you? Did you send a scan of your ID? Is there any other way I could recover my account?
Thanks in advance.

I know, I regret sending it, I didn't think too much, I admit it. The person I spoke to at the gendarmerie confirmed that normally you shouldn't do it.
But given the response I got from FB afterward, with the email address, he told me that normally I shouldn't have anything to worry about. I don't recommend doing it, you shouldn't do it. I should have thought it through. I just hope nothing happens and that the gendarme is right. At the same time, he's a gendarme, I don't see why he would lie, he would have made me take measures. Apparently, there’s no need to take any. He only told me "just in case" to keep the FB emails. After that, maybe it was me who blocked everything because I wanted to save a link and since I wasn't on my personal computer, I sent myself a DM and that's when it happened.

So you no longer have an account?
I'm still facing the same issue, which is that it's asking for a mobile number...
