Unlike Firefox, Google lives by selling advertising, especially targeted advertising. You might find it harmless that Chrome informs Google of everything we do on the web, but I find it outrageous. Moreover, Chrome no longer allows you to disable Doubleclick and other spies either.

There are alternative versions without all these annoyances, like SRWare, but Chrome is far from being as clean as you say. And, if I may say so, it's really ugly; it looks like Apple software from 10 years ago (but I acknowledge that's a matter of taste)..

Google has a good reputation because its leaders are pretty cool, they support freedom much more than most, and lecture Microsoft and other dinosaurs, but Google is big, too big just like Microsoft is. A company should never control both the only serious search engine and the tools that allow navigation. Regardless of its leaders' good intentions, there's no saying that they are eternal, that the leaders won't change and that what has been accumulated won't soon be used to better control the universe. Well! Aesthetic is personal and your choice of color does not suit my tastes at all (too dull and brownish). That said, it's not a tragedy since it can be changed. However, I don't like Chrome's ergonomics and I really doubt it inspires anyone seriously (Opera tried but had to add a button to go back).

I never claimed that Chrome is inherently less secure than others (I don’t believe that) but that the centralization of personal data on Google’s servers is quite concerning enough to avoid using this browser. Also, since the page loading is not any faster than a browser like Opera (you need software to make a difference) and, as I said, Google is big enough already, I still suggest avoiding it. I’m not against Google but I don’t hesitate to preach that the company should not be encouraged to occupy fields that make it monopolistic. I am surprised that you can be aware of the issues and yet advocate for this browser. It’s not me who is against Google, but you who seems to defend Chrome as if it were just a detail that it is a component of the Google empire. Maybe you should ask yourself why the said address is blocked and change your browser instead of getting rid of the anti-malware. When your antivirus tells you that the program you are trying to install contains a virus, do you get rid of the antivirus?

I didn't throw away the antivirus but the anti-malware that I prefer to use occasionally.

I also have Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, you just need to start Google Chrome and when a Malwarebytes Anti-Malware popup opens in the quick launch bar, you need to right-click on the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware icon and select add to exclusions.
