Which publishing houses to choose?

Hello,

Well, well, what a trial it has been to edit "my little baby"!
I just finished my first manuscript, three years of work and research in books and online.
For a month now, I have been looking for a publisher and have sent my manuscript through the internet to several publishing houses. I was surprised by the cost asked of the author.
It is true that Beaurepaire editions are the most attractive in terms of price; I also received an offer from Beaudelaire editions, which is much more expensive, and from Amalthée editions. I am still waiting for a response from Bénévent and Edilivre; we shall see. Do you know these publishing houses, and what do you think of them?

Anne

I am also looking for a publishing house for my manuscript, and I have also received proposals from the mentioned publishers. After some thought, I believe I will go with Beaurepaire Editions, which made the best impression on me (and the best offer).

What nonsense! Beaurepaire is a vanity press, it costs money!!! Any reputable publishing house publishes without asking for money. Vanity publishing is pure and simple scam!

Hello everyone. I have also been working on a writing project for several years that I have just completed (at least the first part). My first manuscript is now ready to be sent out, and I don't want to mess anything up.

PS: a little bit of advertising on the side ^^ I’ve created a website about my project where it's possible to read a preview. A quick look would make me happy:

    Hello,

I know these houses fairly well, and in my opinion, I have always found them perfect. I have rarely seen any problems, complaints, etc...

    Gabriel.

Thank you Gabriel for your reply, in what context do you know these publishing houses? Are you an author? Have you been published by any of these houses? Annouchka

Thank you again, but it still doesn't help me with my choice, any takers!

      Hello,

I would like to join the ongoing discussion; I am currently searching for a publishing house. All the ones mentioned above are well-known. But do we need to pay anything? Or is it the publisher who takes the risk?

Hi, a relative of mine published with Baudelaire, and he is really happy. A bit more expensive maybe, but good service behind it.
