Hello,

I know I'm not in the right section but I can't find a better one.
So here it is, I've had the Lord of the Rings risk for 4 years, I've only played it once and now that I'm picking it up again I can't remember the rules and the rulebook is no longer in the box.

So I would like, if possible, for you to tell me a website where I can find these complete rules, thank you :)

    Hello,
I’m a regular player of this board game. First of all, I would like to know if you are selling yours... mine has aged a bit too much after repeated games. :) Otherwise, regarding the rules, there isn’t anything extraordinary.
At the start, each player rolls a die in turn to determine the order of play... the highest number goes first, etc... in case of a tie, we roll again. We shuffle the deck (territory cards) and deal 16 cards in 4 piles to each team. From experience, I recommend distributing all the cards and not considering the alignment (good/evil... white or black shield at the bottom of the card) because it quickly becomes clear that some are more advantaged than others.
Each player places 1 pawn on each of the territories they received during the distribution. Then we take 9 piles of 3 pawns (men) and 1 pile of 2 pawns (29 pawns to be placed on their territories before starting). Each person places them 3 by 3, always considering the order of play. The first player places 3, the second player places 3... etc... Once all the pawns are placed (6 for the territories and the 29 in reinforcements), each player places a commander on a territory of their choice (a territory that belongs to them). The commander (plastic shield) acts as a hero and gives a +1 bonus in attack and defense on the space where they are located or from where the attack originates.
The ring is placed in the Shire. At the end of each turn, it moves forward one space following the dotted lines (which represent Frodo's progress in the film...) this serves as a turn counter. When it arrives in Mordor, as soon as it falls into the volcano, the game ends and we count the points... it should be noted that on the territories where dice are represented, a roll of 4, 5, or 6 is needed to move it to the next space and there are also "mission" cards that can delay it, move it back, or advance it. Well, we are ready... the first player takes 5 pawns from their reserve. They place them. The aim is to win a minimum of 3 successful battles to gain a territory card (those that were distributed and reshuffled into a single deck after the distribution of territories). After 3 territory cards (so 3 turns), we have the option to recharge... or not. We must take into account the figures drawn under each card we own and keep them face down (so as not to reveal anything to the opponents). If we have 3 men drawn, the recharge will be +4 battalions. If we have 3 horses, the recharge will be +6. If we have 3 eagles, the recharge will be +8 and if we have 3 different cards, the recharge is 10 battalions (like in classic Risk). + 2 battalions for each territory we own (but it’s also possible that none of the territories represented on the cards belong to us).
During your turn, if you attack a territory marked with a black symbol using your commander and succeed in taking it, you can also draw a "mission" card (brown back with the ring) which can give you bonuses (second commander, additional battalions on controlled territories, etc...) or penalties.
The yellow patterns on the board represent fortresses (+2 in defense) for the one being attacked on them...

In short, the rules and translations are quite long. It all depends on your version of the game... I have the complete version (trilogy edition). But I would be happy to provide you with more information if you have any questions.

Hello, I don't know if there are still people on this forum, I bought the Lord of the Rings Risk from a friend for Christmas, I have one simple question, at the end of our turn, for movements, can the hero only move to an adjacent territory or can he cross several (that belong to us) the same for the battalions?
Thank you for taking the time to read me.
      Happy gaming to everyone.
