Merci
Configuration : carte SD (256 Mo)

Hello everyone, just a little detail, you may already know this, but in the case of a USB connection, you need to set the device to MASS Storage mode and not PTP, otherwise it won't be detected as a drive... :-) Bye

      Hello,
I successfully downloaded the software, but it doesn't recognize my camera so I can retrieve the photos from the SD card. Could you tell me how to perform this operation? I think it would help me a lot, as it's a bit like Chinese to me! Thank you in advance.

A silly question, but we need to check everything...
Is everything well connected? Is the device open in data transfer mode? (does it turn on once connected to the PC)
      Which software are you using?

It is well lit but the software only recognizes my hard drive or my USB stick. I am using RECUVA.

Use PC Inspector File Recovery, it worked well for me, it scans the existing drives.

Unfortunately, it's still the same, it detects only my USB key and my hard drive. Maybe the solution is to use an SD USB key? I'll try, we'll see! Thanks anyway for your help!

    Hello,

Well, we're trying to salvage what can be saved by using recovery software, but the more photos we've taken on top of those we want to recover, the slimmer the chances of recovery become, regardless of the software used...
    Recuva: https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/19127-recuva/

    Hi,

it's not looking very good... You could still try photorescue; it seems to be the most effective one currently. It's not free, but if the stakes are worth it... Good luck

    Hello,
I accidentally deleted 70 beautiful photos from my digital frame (birthday gift!). I recovered all these photos by downloading PC INSPECTOR FILE RECOVERY - 15 minutes later everything was saved! Bravo! Thank you a thousand times!

      Hello,

Yes, it can last for very long hours depending on the cleanliness of the partition, its age, and its size (there's quite a difference between 40GB and 1TB). If there’s no partition and it’s a large drive, it can be veeeeery veeeeery long and exceed a day. There’s a big difference between recovering from a card or a hard drive, but since that’s not specified in the question...... we can assume it’s a hard drive and that depending on the size, etc., it could take a long time...

      Luke.

Thank you so much, Luke1!! I was able to recover my 300 travel photos thanks to Recuva, I didn't think it would be possible!

RECUVA is free, I tested it, recovered all the deleted photos from my SD card, easy as pie! Retrieved from PICASA
However, once the card was placed back in the camera, there were no traces of the photos anymore, but that's okay, the software is great!
Do not install the Yahoo toolbar, uncheck it before downloading. ;o) J. Mo

    Hello,

yes, you can recover them as long as you haven't written over them (taken other photos). Here are some software that can help you..

If you are using Windows OS,
    Ad removed by Moderation

If you are using Mac OS X,
    Ad removed by Moderation

I hope you manage to recover them; I've already tried it myself, and it's not pleasant.

(I tried Restoration, and Photo Recovery (or something like that)

I have already installed 3 software programs to try to recover my photos, but nothing works. It looks for the photos, finds them, but at the moment of saving, it asks me to buy a license.. :/ I don't know how to recover them without purchasing a license :/

      Good evening Camille,

In this case, you should use a free software that works just as well: Recuva. No license and no request for anything. Just so you know, I recovered some documents and images that were deleted after formatting one of my hard drives (forgot to back up and quick format)...

      Hello,
I'm still unable to recover my photos even with Recuva :( So maybe I just don't know how to use it?! It only finds the few remaining photos on my card (the ones that haven't been deleted) and doesn't find anything else, while the other one (photo recovery) works very well; it found all the photos, but as I mentioned, it asks to purchase a license when I try to save :/

Hello, what should I do if I took new photos afterwards? I thought I had saved the photos on my computer, but they aren't there and I deleted everything and took new photos over them.
      Thanks in advance.
