Hello,
I purchased an Optoma DLP projector. I wanted to connect it to my computer to watch movies on my wall. So I plugged it in with my computer’s VGA port, and I adjusted the focus (dial on the device). However, I have a problem; I looked through all the settings on my computer and the projector, and the focus is already at maximum (the dial can’t turn anymore, and on the other side, it’s worse..) and the image is blurry!
Blurry to the point that I can’t make out the names of my movies in my folders.
On the brochure (or rather on the website: https://www.topachat.com/accueil/index.php where I bought it), they say the projection distance can range from 1.2 meters to 12 meters! I measured, and I am projecting at 2 meters. So, is it false advertising or a bad setting?
I thought about changing the screen resolution (currently at 1280x1024) to 800x600 (its native resolution) and then setting it to native. But the quality remains poor... It’s not a matter of contrast or brightness; I’ve already fiddled quite a bit with those types of settings.
Thank you for helping me, because in the end, we bought a machine for €270, and it doesn’t work. It’s quite frustrating..
Best regards,
Configuration: Windows XP SP3 / Firefox 3.6.13
