Problem with PDF

Hello,
For the past few days, a message has been appearing on my Galaxy Tab A8: "PDF about to expire, please update or else....." I initially ignored it, but after the message reappeared, I did the update and it downloaded PDF Viewer Pro and PDF File Plus. I don't know what these are, they're on the home screen and I don't care about them. However, this morning the message came back: I'm not going to update every two days, and I also don't want to download files or software that don't interest me.
I should note that this happens when I play on my tablet "game launcher soda."
-- what does this message mean?
-- should I do these updates?
-- what risks are there for my tablet?
-- is there a connection with Game Launcher?
A small note: I still have my previous tablet that I gave to my husband, which is at least 3 years older, and this never happens on it.
Thank you for advising me regarding these messages.
Sincerely

Hello,
Modern Android versions include a default PDF reader if one is needed.
Otherwise, there are plenty of apps on Google Play, but it isn't always easy to find one that doesn't bombard the user with ads and notifications prompting them to download certain third-party apps, which can be difficult to decline.
This is probably what's happening with the game in question, which "monetizes" through advertising, particularly by "offering" to install the PDF reader in question.
For example, Collabora Office, which is not designed for this purpose (it's an Android office suite), is capable of opening PDFs without these drawbacks, particularly because it can work "offline".
Hello Brucine
Thank you for your reply, so is it an ad problem? Indeed, after each game I have to wait for an ad before going to the next one (I am at level 9518). What I fear is that I will no longer be able to play this game because the message is quite threatening. Furthermore, I have been suffering from these ads for a very long time, so there was already a PDF, why should it expire? And since I already upgraded two days ago, why start over?
I don't know, I don't play.
The role of these intrusive ads and notifications is to "finance" the app creator, even going so far as to threaten the user with all the woes of Israel and to resort to questionable means.
There is no reason why we shouldn't be able to use a proper PDF editor indefinitely; the rest is just nonsense to force the user's hand, to impose what already exists because the app is poorly written, and in extreme cases, to install malware.
It's not so much about ads in general; the problem is that they are designed for the user to click on them and accept them because they block the full screen instead of offering to cancel and close.
Other than playing something else...
