Hello,
I have an Archos 504 that I've had for at least 3 years, so it is no longer under warranty. It has always had issues and has been to the customer service several times. This time, I'm facing a significant problem: my Archos won't turn on, even when plugged into the wall or the PC. I don't know what to do, and since it's out of warranty, I'm a bit stuck... Have you ever encountered this kind of problem? Any solutions perhaps..?

Hello, I hope my reply isn't too late and that you haven't thrown away your Archos 504. Check the contacts between your casing and your battery; on the Archos, there are 4 spring clips that, when you insert the battery, push down inside and should touch tiny contacts (why make it simple...). Check if the contact clips have moved or if they're deformed and therefore aren't making contact anymore.
This happened to me, and I found this fix, but every time I remove the battery, it happens again. It's the same with the 604!!! (and probably the 404) Archos is junk. I will never buy one again.
