I found the solution on timeofwar.com
you just need to download a small exe to remove a too virulent StarForce protection [Thanks StarForce again]
I suspect Bet On Soldier is behind it but I’m not sure!

      Hurry up!!
On top of that it will be forbidden to do that if the DADVSI law passes, and it's this week... (the scandal, basically)

I don’t think it’s illegal because it’s provided by a disk manufacturer whose name we’ll keep secret ;-) I therefore think the thing is legal
(they must have done their research)
in addition this "patch" only allows me to remove a protection that prevents me from playing a legally purchased game!!!
but you’re right anyway it could become illegal!!! :-O

No problem for now, but according to the DADVSI law (still under debate) it will be illegal to circumvent protections on works!
(yes, you won't be able to listen to your purchased MP3 on your player!)

I have the same problem when I start the installation; setup.exe has stopped working and must close.

I found the thing elsewhere: it's a problem related to an obsolete system file: SecDrv.sys. Therefore you should go to the Macrovision site, download the safedisc.exe file, and run it. Then the AR2 installation works like a charm.

The link sometimes changes, but in August 2007 you could find it here:

Lost, I meant to say that the current link is: http://www.macrovision.com/downloads/products/safedisc/safedisc.exe

    Sorry...

Hi, I have a problem, I have Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge. I used to have a wired mouse, a while ago I uninstalled it but now I want to reinstall and I have a wireless mouse. It installs fine, but as soon as I start playing Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge, it says there is no mouse even though there is one. So I tried with a wired mouse but it still doesn’t work. Is it a Yuri problem or the CD that runs badly or the computer that bugs or something else? please reply as soon as possible.

Insert a red alert: place the CD in the first CD drive
Example: if you have one drive h and one burner i, you must put the CD in drive h
If your burner is h and your drive is i, you must put the CD in the burner h

    Hello everyone,

I know I’m not talking about the same game, but I have Red Alert 1 and I’m using Vista... I wanted to know if you also know how to get AR1 to run under Vista...

I have the image with Install, Browse CD-ROM, Internet and Preview, then when I press Install, it loads but nothing appears, then it stops loading and nothing happens or launches...

So if you know how to do it, tell me :).

    Thanks in advance...

Hi, I would like to know how to install only Yuri's Rebirth without Red Alert 2

It's not possible to play without AR2 on Yuri without AR2! lol! it's like all the games in the world! Like any Addon can't work without the program itself, otherwise we'd call it an addon coco!

I have the same problem as the others because of Vista...

Or maybe it's something else... the installation went fine (just cd1) and when I click on the icon or in the cd directly, it tells me "the cd is not correct". Even though it's the right cd (cd2)...

    Arf I miss this game!

When I put in the CD, red alert 2, there is a big box that comes up where it says "install", "explore CD" and "cancel". I press on install and it shows "Impossible to find Setup.exe

    Please help me =("
